Question for Super Mario 64

When I'm on cool, cool mountain and I get the snowman's body to follow me, I can't get it to hit the head. I've stood all around the head. Behind it, on the sides and in front of it,but nothing works. It won't stop. Anybody know how to make it stop or collide with the head?
Thanks

I guess it can be kind of tricky.

You need to make sure that you are far enough (but not too far) ahead of the snowman's body so that you can get behind the snowman's head to let the snowman's body come straight for you and collide!

Get a fair distance between you and the snowman. Make it collide with its head. It's pretty tricky first and sometimes second time around.
