How do you obtain/use the green shell located in the oyster shell in the 2nd area of Dire Dire Docks?

Swim in front of the oyster then press be to grab the shell. The shell won't last very long, though.
To obtain the Koopa shell in the oysters mouth in Dire Dire Docks, you have to wait for the oyster to open it's mouth. Once it's open, you can swim up to the shell and press the B button. =D
