There are only 120 stars in the game. You cannot get "beyond 120 stars."

He is right. There are eight stars per level plus one for 100 coins plus one for the secret areas (where the red numbers pop up for no reason). So that makes ten per level plus the castle stars.

Yes they are both right so to get the last eight get 100 coins in each level unless you have already.

Hey bro! You're trying to get "beyond 120 stars" is that true? Well yes I've heard there's actually 125 stars in this game. In order to get those secret five you'll have to have 120 stars already. I only know how to get 2 of those extra-secret stars though.

One of them you get if you go to that secret cloud level on the third floor of peach's catle (to the left) get the wing cap and fly through all four of the coin rings in some secret order (don't collect any coins though)although no numbers pop up you still get a star if done correctly. The star appears inside the rainbow and floats toward the smaller island with the cannon.

There's a secret warp somewhere in rainbow ride that will take you to the other star.

You should have 122 stars now. The rest you'll have to figure out yourself. Good luck!

The N64 game only has 120 stars. It is impossible to get any more.

There really is 150 stars, you may need to visit Mips (the rabbit) twice, beat the princess's secret slide in less than 21"1 seconds, and may need to do the red coin challenges in Bowser stages. If you did all that, well then I don't know.
