How do you beat the mellenium star in a stardust battle?

Grab the shooting stars with B and throw the star when he's near the ground with B.

He will change the field if you hit him a few times.

The ice field is the last field.

The easiest way to defeat the Millenium Star is to run around the field while the meteors (stars that fall from the sky) crash into the field, after there are no meteors falling, grab one that's not switching colors and throw it to the Millenium Star. Hit the FAKE Millenium Star three times and he's defeated. Just make sure that you DO NOT touch any switching-color-meteors or you'll have to start over the battle. In the Minigame Room, if you play that minigame, you must hit the Fake Millenium Star NINE times.

Yes, the Big Millenium Star is fake, after defeating him, he'll confess and leave. Your character will make the sound they do when losing. And the real Millenium Star will come out from Tumble's dice hat and will tell you that it was watching you scince you started the Story Mode and it'll grant you the wish of becoming the Greatest Superstar in the Universe. Also, on the rock mountian right behind the castle, will appear the statue of the player with the one you cleared the story mode. But only his/her head.
