Smackdown gets new DLC SuperCheats News
Fans of the WWE Smackdown vs. Raw Series have something to rejoice about this Christmas -- a new DLC pack!
The second DLC since the release of the newest entry in the series earlier this year, the pack adds personalities as well as new kit to the game.
On the personality front, the pack adds WWE Legends British Bulldog, Lex Luger, Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Justin Gabriel, and WWE Diva Layla to the game, as well as alternate ring gear for WWE Superstar Shawn Michaels and WWE Alumni Shad. A major addition for the pack is the playable WWE NXT arena, which should make a lot of gamers happy this holiday!
The DLC package is now available through the built-in Fan Axxess program, a new service that enables WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 owners to obtain DLC throughout the life of the game for a single payment of 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE, or $9.99 US on the Play Station Network. Gamers who opt not to subscribe to the new service can still obtain the DLC -- and any future DLC -- by paying for it individually, but considering that this new pack costs 560 Microsoft Points / $6.99 US, the cost of the DLC almost pays for the subscription fee, making the following DLC cheap, and after that, free.
Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 is widely considered to be the best version to date, and one of the better wrestling sports simulation games, and the value-added modes like its story maker and online play are very popular features for the game.
