EA Pushing Sims Social on Sims 3 Gamers

If you happen to own a registered copy of The Sims 3 you may want to keep an eye on your email inbox today, as Electronic Arts has launched a new promo campaign for its social networking version of The Sims -- The Sims Social -- offering owners of The Sims 3 an incentive to begin playing to the tune of 500 FREE Simoleons!

The email includes a link that will take you to your Facebook page and prompt you to start playing the game, with an entry screen that provides an "accept" button for the free Simoleons to help you get started.

The Sims Social is a Facebook addition to the Sims series of videogames that was originally announced during EA's 2011 E3 press conference -- which we covered -- and is similar in structure to the regular Sims games with one important difference: in The Sims Social you create your character and it can interact with the characters of your friends on Facebook.
