Console, Wireless Headset with
Bluetooth and Wireless Controller
Are you prepared for the launch of the Xbox 360 Limited Edition Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Microsoft, Infinity Ward, and Sledgehammer Games have teamed up to create a very unique and desireable Call of Duty
collectible quite unlike anything presently on the market, and just in time for the most epic Call of Duty experience ever: the specially designed COD3-branded game console!
Aside from its (air)striking good looks, the console will play unmistakable Call of Duty sounds when powering up and when the CD tray is opened, and includes customised graphics from the game, along with two custom wireless controllers, a 320GB hard drive, and of course a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
The package also includes a one month Xbox LIVE Gold-level membership subscription so you can play competitively to your heart's content, as well as exclusive avatar items that show your Xbox LIVE friends you're one lucky bastard who owns this coveted console! Worldwide Availability
The COD3 LE Xbox 360 Console launches on 8th November, 2011 in the UK exclusively with GAME and GameStation for £269.99, and can be pre-ordered today.
In North America the Limited Edition Console can be pre-ordered at GameStop stores and at the GameStop website, where it has become one of the best-selling products and pre-orders for the year, and is priced at $399.99 USD.
The Limited Edition bundle is available at other retailers worldwide under different packages and promotions -- for details gamers should consult their preferred dealer.
At 320GB, the console has the largest hard drive ever available for Xbox 360, with more than enough space to download and save game add-ons, downloadable content, games, music, photos, videos and movies. While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 does not support Kinect functionality, all Xbox 360 consoles are Kinect-ready for when you're ready to take a break from the battlefield.
In addition to the console, Xbox 360 will be releasing two limited edition accessories:-- The Xbox 360 Limited Edition Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Wireless Headset with Bluetooth
Providing the ability to chat with friends during multiplayer game play or with Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones, PC's and other devices, the headset may not be the toughened sort that is used by special operators in the real world, but it gets the job done nicely in your living room!
Its artwork matches the custom console and includes a charging cradle, ear loop, ear gels, and an Xbox LIVE token for an exclusive download for £44.99. Users can chat without wires on Xbox LIVE and easily switch between Xbox 360 mode and Bluetooth mode. -- The Xbox 360 Limited Edition Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Wireless Controller
The wireless controller allows you to show all your friends your passion for the franchise. The controller includes exclusive artwork and a transforming D-pad that can be rotated to adapt to the user's personal game play style, as well as an Xbox LIVE token for an exclusive download, all for £39.99.
Depending upon where in the world you are, these two items may be available for purchase separately -- which is good news for gamers, because after all how would it look if the first two controllers on your console are the spiffy COD-branded limited edition versions while the second pair are just the basic black sort? Completely unprofessional, that's how!
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set to release for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS, and Windows PC on November 8th, 2011, and has naturally been rated as M (for Mature) by the ESRB and PEGI 18.
The Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC versions of the game have been developed by Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games, and Raven Software, while the Wii version was developer by Treyarch, and the portable version for Nintendo's DS handheld gaming system was developed by n-Space. All of the game versions are published by Activision for most of the world -- but in Japan the game is being published by Square Enix.
Classed as a single-player first-person shooter, COD:MW3 has significant multi-player content and is a direct sequel to the previous series title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
