The Sims 2 Store Closing on March 31st

The Sims 2 (2004), sequel to the original Sims, set the stage for what was to come with the most recent generation of the game series -- The Sims 3 -- with a number of expansions that completely re-invented the game for most simmers to the extent that despite it being nearly 7-years-old is still widely played today! Sadly we have received some bad news for simmers who prefer The Sims 2 for their adventuring...

On March 31st The Sims 2 Store will be closing its doors for good.

What that means is that any content that you have purchased from The Sims 2 Store will no longer be available for re-download after that date -- and as that is the case it would be an idea to check to be sure that you have all of it on your drive now. What you do not have you should re-download before the store closes, right?

To thank you for your continued support of The Sims Franchise, Electronic Arts wants to invite you to join The Sims 3 Powered by Gaikai Beta. Join the Beta today to play The Sims 3 instantly. Simply load your favorite browser and point it at: http://www.thesims3.com/trial and sim-out for a 60-minute trial run!
