This is to clarify some things people might want to know about Gwen because no one has a clear idea on how to get her to come back.

So, I was told to sell very berries, which was uneventful, and to sell bell peppers, which also was uneventful, but the real way to get Gwen to return to the village is to sell 20 home grown crops and ten fish. I tried this myself and it works! This is how to get her to come back.

Also for those who want to know, she loves very berry jam. Easily bought at hearty Lila if you're not in spring. Hope this helps so you can beat your game like I can now!

Okay I don't know if this is just a glitch in my game of a special "Kurt" thing.

I upgraded my house bought the bed and had eight hearts...but I only had 24 notes and I still got the blue feather and was able to get married...
Oh yeah I was marrying kurt so maybe it was a glitch I don't know...

Heres some ways to get some villagers that have left to come back. I don't know all of them so heres a few.

Terry And Tim: They come and go randomly.

Ray: sell fish and he should come back.

Eve: try Carrots or Grapes.

Carl and Katie: sell cake stuff like breadfruit.

Dan, Ronald,and Meryl: Sell Friut, any kind will do.

Gina and Dia: I believe if you sell medicine items they will come back.

Basil: easy, Sell a lot of plants.

In order to get married you first have to upgrade to a level three house in remodeling. Then you try to get Joe,Kurt,or Woody one heart. After that you should have the mayor at your door if he isn't try to free the fairy goddess at fifty notes. Then you go get the blue feather at the top of the cliff and propose to your selected husband. If the mayor still doesn't come, buy a level four house also under remodeling. It doesn't matter if your a boy or a girl you still have to propose to the other gender.

1. One week before the Pumpkin festival ship a pumpkin.

2. Have 5 or 6 hearts with you're horse and stars at least 6 more or less but I would get 6 to 10 stars better chance of winning

3. Go to Moonlight cave and go to level 100 and tim will give you a berry. PS The 100th level on Lake cave has a fish that you can only get down there so bring you're rod but it's really a squid.

4. Get 30 notes and go to the godess spring and if you have'nt went to the springs for every 5 notes to turn it into a instrument you have to do that first.

5. Go to the beach festival and win the mayor will give you a berry.

For those that don't no what power berrys are they are berrys that if you do these things upove people will give them to you and they will increase your HEALTH by about a half a inch or a inch.

Frist get Joe, Kurt, or Woody one heart. Then get 40 lumers and 8000 money. Buy a lvl3 house now buy a (l)plian bed then you have to climb a hill now purpose.

In games like Harvest Moon, it is always a little hard getting started.

I found that the best way to get started in Harvest Moon: Magical Melody is first buying the plot by the sea. You're pretty close to town and right next to probably the most important neighbors in the game: Woody the carpenter and Tai the blacksmith.

Next I advise buying the chicken coop first. And DON'T buy a chicken. Instead, buy an egg and exercise a little patience. You'll save money that way. And in the beginning, saving money is the most important thing.

Also, the easiest way to get money the first few days is easy: just walk around town picking up the lumber pieces. Not the little logs or the old stakes, but the good stakes. Good stakes sell for 30G a piece and you can throw away the old stakes in trash cans and get the garbage can note in like the first or second day. After you throw away 20 of the old stakes, you can sell them for 5G a piece if you want.

Fishing is a good way to get money too. But don't sell the fish the way they are when you catch them. Take them home and turn them into Sashimi. Those puff fish, (I can't remember what they are called) normally sell for only a few G's so I had always released them. But when I turned it into Sashimi, they sold for a lot more. 120G if I'm remembering correctly.

Okay, I just discovered a super annoying glitch this morning... Sometimes, if you're using the Reins to move your animals in or out, you will suddenly drop in to pitch-black darkness, a bit of blue, however.

Anyway, the only way I've figured out to get rid of this is to either reset your console, or press Y and then Z. Resetting could be bad depending on your last save point, and going to bed could be bad if it rained, there was a typhoon, or a snowstorm.

Anyway, WATCH OUT FOR THAT. This is a little lesson teaching you to save your game everyday! As you probably know, the EASIEST (for me) way to make money is the Lake Cave, only open in Winter.

The Jamasquid, King Fish of the Lake Cave, lives on the 100th floor. Also, on a normal mining day, you make about 3000G+.

If you spend a lot of time here, you'll usually get 5000G+. And if you're lucky, you can get 7000G-10,000G+! It's also easy to find Pontata Roots here, especially on floor 10. Well, that's all.

First when you start, you want to pick the River Side. It has very fertile land, and good fishing until you can go to the island. You want to catch a few Amagos, Rainbow Trout, and Dace. Dace is good if you cook it over a bonfire, and Rainbow Trout is good for Sashimi. Amagos sell for a lot when you first start. NOTE: For extra money, make all fish into Sashimi except a few, like Dace, as it will boost their selling price by 10g. Once you fish a lot, go to Sunny Lake after you've met Ray, as he will give you a copper fishing rod. When you obtain 1700g, buy a pot, frying pan, and oven from the Junk Shop. Make sure not to buy a stove, they are useless.

After you give the Dolpphin a lot of fish, preferably Dace and R. Trout, ride it to the island. Make many multiple trips in the summer, as you can catch Tuna, worth 300g, and if put it on your frying pan and make it Tuna Steak, it sells for 450g EA! In fall, when you catch Mackeral, put it in your pot for Miso Mackerel, 140g. Put Squid (normal) in your oven. Squid's normal price is 35g, put if you put it in the oven, it will be 145g. If you catch two amagos, put it in your pot and it will selll for 290g. Also, if you're trying to marry Gwen, use Fall and Spring. This will require the Mixer from Michael's shop. Put two Very Berries in for Very Berry Jam. She loves this. In Fall, plant many Orange Herbs; especially if you chose the river side. When you get 5000g, buy the Ocean Property. Now you can have a nice farm and plant crops here. If you want it to be better, use the river side's soil. I reccomend to relocate your house to the Ocean Side, costs 1000g. Or you could build a house there. From now on, save about 140 pieces of wood and 14000 gold to remodel your house twice, and build a chicken coop. Also save money for a Kitchen (L). I prefer marble, but it's more expensive, so I'd go with Woody style. Also, make SURE you plant a fruit tree before Spring 17! Ronald will knock on your door and talk.

On the 17th you must talk to him. He will soon build Paradise Orchard. Make it expand and have Henry move in by planting three more fruit trees. Moonlight Cafe and Perch Inn will open in Summer after you attendthe 17th. They will remodel on Fall 1st. Boy, maybe it's my game, but a lot of people move out in Fall. Dia and Basil moved out. You can bring them back, thank god. Also, to be married, you need a lvl 3. House. You must befriend Woody, Joe, or Kurt. I reccomend Joe. I gave him a flower and sashimi, and that unlocked a lvl 3 house. You could make your new house brick, but I think that looks weird... Anyway, unlocks the Beds (L), which you need to be married. I prefer Simple type, but you choose. Note: Have a lot of money, but nothing to do with it? Simple! There are four house upgrades! You'll need I believe 15,000-60,000g and a ton of wood... If you want these, make sure you already have the "Rich Note".

Also, after you have Theodore at three hearts, buy all twenty properties, if you have a lot of money and nothing to do with it. Anyway, I hope this helps!

You know that creepy old guy who you meet in the forest before Ray? If you don't show intrest or friendship to Eve then you won't learn that he is Eve's Uncle or grandfather. You also won't learn that his favorite treat is Mushrooms.
Remember Eve? Seems she's interested in Ray, if you have any plans of snatching her away then you better find some Pinkcat flowers and baked chesnuts.
There's another you wouldn't think about unless you were just that awsome. Jamie, what does Jamie like? Well apparently Coral is a nice gift, but a very berry shake will win her/his heart.
Tim the one with the America bandana, he likes fish but i'll give you an update when I find his true favorite.
Gray seems to like if you just want to talk, surprisingly enough, It wound up with three hearts.
Ray of course likes fish, but how about bonfire cooked? He doesn't like Blue squid or anything cheep of course. Keep giving him new fish and you'll have his friendship in no time. After a while, once you're married, he might send you a card saying he's in love and needs your advice as a friend. Unless of course you've married Eve, then this letter should appear.
Alex of course likes different kinds of herbs, the more they sell, the more he earns!
I know some more but I forget their names, I'll post you guys later for the newest quick date!

Oh, and by the way, the weddings are real and so is your first kiss! Enjoy!

Here's a hint for those of you with big empty lots overflowing with weeds, and empty wallets in the game. Clear out the field(s) and hoe the ground every five or so squares. Do NOT hoe near the edge of any lot, because eith the tree won't grow, or you won't get the fruit. Do not buy the lot, because the villagers like it when you plant trees on unowned property. Now plant a tree on each hoed spot. Only plant trees that give fruit. Now, you won't have as many weeds on that lot, the people will like you for planting trees in the village, and you can sell lots of fruit! Note that the trees will only bear fruit on their given season. Hope I helped.

Ok. Here's a GREAT tip for begginers in this game. First, name your character and etc.,etc., etc., but when it comes to picking land, pick the river lad. It might be small, but pick it. ASAP, hoe three gardens with one non-hoes square of land in the middle on one side, then, ASAP Buy three (3) Breadfruit seeds and plant the seeds in the graden, and water them. As soon as the things are grown, you'll get 6000-7200$ every two days!

When you first start out you should by the property on the beach.The farm land might not be great but the extra space is really nice.First by a chicken coop along with a chicken.Then every day feed the chicken and it should give you in egg.Next take your fishing pole and walk right down to the beach and catch any type of fish.Then give the fish to either joe are kurt,this should help to bulid relationships up fast.Next walk on over to the spring farm and give nina the egg this should also boost relationships.Finaly during winter of year 1 if you have all the requirements met you should have you a wife or husband.

Heheh! Some of these made me laugh when I saw them when playing.. Here's a few.

1. If you speak to Jamie in Moonlight Cave when he has 1 heart or less, he'll say "Hah! With your strength you'l just end up pooping out along the way". Pooping is suppost to be poping, I believe.
2. Occasionally, If you pass by the Blue Sky ranch, the game will go Slow motion on you. Maybe it only happens in my game, but oh well.
3. This is probley the funniest, but If you enter either the shed, the barn, or the chicken coop of the Blue Sky Ranch when Bob is there, he'll occasionally follow you to whatever building you enter. Dan will do the same thing with the shed and the field If you have the Paradice Orchard. Stalkers...
