As soon as you get 2 the wild card round before you even simulate any thing go 2 the league standings and c which team has the worst record if there is a tie then guess.

Then go 2 trade player and trade you're picks for their picks.

Sometimes you can get more than 1 pick for one of yours.

Almost every time you can get their 1st and 2nd round picks for just your first rounder.

Well this is really for all the systems.
If you want to make a superbowl winning franchise besides cheating (AI modifications, playing on rookie, etc.) you can go into rosters and jack up stats for example lets take the buffalo bills JP lossman an overall in the 70s but if you boost his accuracy awarness and power his over all will be in the 90s.
Another way is while your franchise is already started, make a player with not so good abilities (or if your really cheap all the way down) and hire him for 7 years with minnimal saly but a decent bonus (2 or 3 million) now save your franchise go back to rosters (from the main menu, not franchise) and jack up that players stats
(this technique is better if you want a better player without all the extra cash, the first one is shorte but this works better)

(This Works Best At The End Of The Season Since You Know What Teams Are Going To Have The First Picks)..You may even want to trade the new player for a vet, but somtimes you can't get just anyone, you may have to throw in someone else or a draft pick..
