In the beginning, look for Armor Knights. These are the purple guys with the spears. A quick way to get a good sum of money is to fight them. They will sometimes drop a Spear. Hold onto the spear for the time being. Once they give you a soul, synthesize the soul with the spear for a Partizan, worth 3200 gold. If you decide to keep upgrading, face Axe Armors until they drop a soul, nd fuse that to get a Halberd. Doing this over and over will help get the Soul Eater Ring fast, especially if you have the Rare Ring or even the Gold Ring.

The bosses will give you the following souls
Flying armour: fall slower
Balore: break ice blocks
Malphas: double jump
Dario: none
Puppetmaster: throw a puppet and warp to it
Rahab: walk underwater
Gergoth: fire a laser
Zephyr: stop time
Bat company: turn into a bat
Paranoia: warp to a parallel world inside mirrors
Aguni: create a trail of fire in front of you

This hint requires the doppelganger soul, and to have the second equipment have a different weapon then the other one. Okay, first, equip something heavy to the first equipment.

(axes, great swords, death sythe, etc.) Then, press Y. Then, in mid swing, press X to switch doppelganger souls and the weapon you were holding will dissapear!

The best method I have found so far for collecting souls is using the following equipment : Joyeuse, Three 7s, Soul Eater Ring and 9 Ghost Dancer souls.

Use my previous hint to get the Gold Ring and the Three 7s armor if you do not already have them. When you have the gold ring, just smash lots of candles to get money to buy the Soul Eater Ring. Once you have the Soul Eater Ring, you can start to collect the nine Ghost Dancer souls.

Use the portal to go to the Dark Chapel, and head outside of the portal room. The ghost dancers will be dancing through the air right outside the portal room. Equip the Three 7s Armor and the Soul Eater Ring and start killing the Ghost Dancers. Make sure you keep killing the ghost dancers until you have nine of their souls.

At this point, you should equip the nine Ghost Dancer souls to make the rest of the soul collecting here easier. After that, use the map and head up into the hallway two floors above the portal room. In here, defeat the Great Armors until you get one of their souls.

After you get a Great Armor soul, cross through the room they're in and into the next, and go up into the next room. Use the floating platform and a double jump to reach the platform high above the floor and get the long sword. Then go back to the portal and take it to the Demon Guest House. Just outside the portal room is a killer clown. Kill him repeatedly until you get a soul.

After you get the killer clown soul, take the portal to the Garden Of Madness. Exit the portal and climb up until you get into the large room, then head right into the room just outside the sealed room in the center of the castle. You need to get the mollusca's soul, so chop at it's eyes to kill it as many times as necessary. Be careful not to let it touch you, because it's poisonous.

After you get the soul, take the portal to the lost village, go all the way to the bottom of the area and enter the left room. Use the Great Armor soul to make the long sword into a Fragarach, use the Mollusca souls to make that a hrunting, and then use the Killer Clown soul to make that a Joyeuse.

Now when you need to go get a soul, just equip the Joyeuse, Three 7s Armor, Soul Eater Ring, and the nine Ghost Dancer souls. The Soul Eater Ring increases the appearance of souls, and with everything else, your luck is raised by 38!

These three items can be acquired in three rooms, which are opened by having the corresponding amount of gold shown on a large stone block blocking the entrance to the rooms. You need 573 gold for the room in the Cursed Clock Tower, 777 for the one in the Garden Of Madness, and 666 for the one located underneath the Lost Village. Here's where you can find the rooms.

Take the portal to the room in the Condemned Tower.Exit the portal and go out to the ledge of the inner room of the tower, and carefully drop down two floors. Enter the hallway that is the entrance to the cursed clocktower. The first room is immediately below the exit from the hallway. After you get the first treasure, take the portal back to the Garden of Madness. You must have the Rahab ability from Subterranean Hell to reach the room. Exit the portal room and drop down from the platform in the middle of the room. Drop down two more platforms and defeat the Treant in this room, then keep moving to the right. Hop over the little gap where the skelerang stands below and continue into the next room to the right.

Defeat or just jump past the mandragoras here and go through the underwater passage to the other side. Defeat or evade the catoblepas and move into the next room to the right. This time, drop down next to the skelerang and defeat him. Move to the right and enter the room, defeat the treant and collect the prize. Backtrack to the portal and take it to Subterranean Hell. This time to get to the room you will need a Bone Ark soul, which you can collect in Subterranean Hell. If you don't have a Bone Ark soul, head two rooms to the right of the portal, leave through the top of this room and go one more room to the right. You can find 2 Bone Arks here. If you already have one, leave through the exit at the bottom of the room outside the portal, make your way down to the bottom of this room and head left and continue heading left through the rooms. Keep heading left at the bottom of the rooms.

In the large column shaped room with the waterfall you want to exit left at the bottom of the waterfall. Keep heading left,left,left, until you reach the room partially filled with water and with spikes covering the bottom of the room. Use the Bone Ark soul to cross this room.[don't worry about the wall that blocks the way, you will pass it without being touched by it] on the other side of the room when it's safe, turn off the Bone Ark soul, then keep heading left. Pass through an underwater room with hommunculi, a room with some larva, another hommunculi room, an empty room.

In the room after the empty room with nothing but two candles, drop down from the platform and fight your way through the many mermen heading left. Pass through another hommunculi room, to the far left upper corner. This is the third room.

#1 bigfoot: the bigfoot soul is at the very start of the game you can see him walking around in the backround. To get him use the skeliten waiter soul he will jump out you have to kill him quickly.

#2 mothman: you will see a big stage light thing I'm not 100% sure ware it is but you use the lightning soul to get it's soul.

#3 flying huminoid: this soul is flying around in the backround in the clock tower right before you fight the boss at the top.
