This is a pretty good game. Based on what I have seen from the first Nintendo DS Yu-gi-oh game this series was meant for this system as things just seemed to flow fairly easily, as compared to the other games where gameplay seemed a bit clunky and unorganized.

Graphics

The graphics on this game take full use of the Nintendo DS hardware that powers it. The monsters being shown in 3D graphics outside of the cards makes things easier to keep track of on the field. The graphics are a bit clunky however and this can sometimes take away from the gameplay.

Sound

The music in this game is fairly good. It has it's good songs and the ones that get annoying after a while. Songs fit the situation well such as this more modern combat music for the tournaments and this Egyptian sounding music for the final battle. Music pretty well makes up the entirety of the sound in this game.

Gameplay

The gameplay is set up after the advanced format of the official trading card game rules. It is very similar to the gameplay in the previous games except made to flow easier and with updated rules and errata for cards. Good gameplay for a player who wants to experience the trading card game without buying a bunch of cards and finding a friend (though linked battles are fun though).

Lastability

The lastability of this game is basically the same as all of the previous games for the Game Boy Advance before it. It will last a fair amount of time and serious players can learn many new things from it. Once the next game comes out though it, like the rest of the games before it, will probably not be played nearly as much as it will be outdated.

Overall

Overall, I would say that this game is probably the best Yu-Gi-Oh game to date. As I said earlier the series seems best fitted for the Nintendo DS, and this is because of the way you can use the touch screen to do all of your dueling. The graphics are not the best however, the story is lacking, and game script in the game needs refining (some of the basic grammar is just plain wrong). The game is still quite fun and a duelist looking for a challenge should definitely get this game. New players can also learn the game easily with a place filled with tutorials and puzzles that can even challenge experienced players. A challenge for all and good for skill building, overall, a fairly good game.
