Full Review of Beyblade G-Revolution for Gameboy Advance
Other Reviews for this game
Introduction
This is a nice addition to the ever-increasing line of beyblade games. In it you play as Tyson, and you travel around the world compeating in an ever popular beyblade tournament. An interesting twist is that the tournament is not played solo. It is a tag team tournament. I the tag team tournament, you can play as other people, Ripping their blades to battle opponents.
Graphics
07
The pictures of beyblades in the game look almost exactly like real-life beyblades. The spin anamations were impressive as well, even slowing down as your RPM spirals to a halt. Looking at my gameboy and looking at one of my own beyblades spinning were nearly identical. The characters graphics left something to be desired, however, giving it the feel of a normal cartoon, not Japanese Anime.
Sound
10
The sound was a BIG thumbs up. The beyblade theme on the start screen and in battle were very well done, you just need headphones to bypass the really small speaker. The beyblades themselves sounded really good as well, grinding on contact with another blade.
Gameplay
07
The controls are easy to learn, and easy to use. The movement of the blade requires little practice, and there are only three combos that are really easy to remember. The controls are simple, but there are enough of them to feel like you are really in charge of what is going on.
Lastability
06
I bought this game and beat it almost a week later. I could have beaten it much faster but I wasn't playing my gameboy for 8 and 9 hours straight. I have a life. Any way, after you beat the game there is always trying to get all of the beyblades, and you can battle just about anyone you want, if you know your way around.
Overall
07
This was an interesting game that was worth my money (I got it for nearly a steal!). I had fun trying to customize my blades to their peak proformance, and useing them to win. I found that it could have been done better, as there are several areas where more statistics would have been helpful. There are several parts of the game that are not used to their full extent, and in the begining Tyson has a dream that does not come back in for the whole game. Interaction with other people could REALLY be better, but the actual beyblading gives you more controll over steering the blade than any game I have played (well, played rescently). This is an overall good game, But I would advise getting it second hand. A penny saved is a penny earned and all that jazz!
Final Score : 74 %
