Use a text editor to edit the "proto.xml" file in the "Data" directory in the game folder.

NOTE: You may first need to uncheck the "Read Only" attribute of that file's properties in Windows Explorer.

Search for the text "CrateOf". You will find CrateofFood, CrateofCoin, CrateofWood, CrateofFoodLarge, CrafteofCoinLarge, and CrateofWoodLarge. For all these entries, find the tag "InitialResourceCount" and change the count to whatever desired. For example, the normal crates each have "100.000" of the resources. You can change the "100" to "99999.000", etc.

Open the sp_yourcityname_homecity.xml file located in My DocumentsMy GamesAge of Empires 3Savegame (dont forget to make a backup of this file) through Notepad, find this line .

The line should look like this xx, where xx is the number of skillpoints you currently have. Change the xx to a high number such as 999, save the file and start Age of Empires 3. Go into a skirmish game, go to 'Buy Cards' in your city's main menu, and you will now have 999 unlock various cards of your choice for your deck

Open the sp_yourcityname_homecity.xml file in the My DocumentsMy GamesAge of Empires 3Savegame (dont forget to make a back up first) folder. Open the file up in Notepad through 'Open With:' by right-clicking the file. Search for .
You will see something like this xx, put in 99 for the xx, save the file, go into the game and play a skirmish. Now you are level 99!

You may have noticed that some units like Fluffy, Lazerbear, Monster Truck A, Laericorn, and Flying Purple Tapir don't have codes. But they can are still in the game and can be used.

Got to editor and place a unit on the map. Select the 'Replace Unit' command under 'Objects' in the drop down menu. A box will pop-up allowing you to replace the unit with any of the things listed. Choose Fluffy, Lazerbear, Monster Truck A, Laericorn, or Flying Purple Tapir and press OK. You will then see the figure on the map. Press 'Save once you are done and play the scene you created.

George Crushington is a giant statue head of George Washington. Once summoned he can headbutt enemies on a a 1-hit KO, destroy villagers and buildings by running over them, and burn things by breathing fire. To summon him you must do the following:

1. Enter a battle
2. Press ENTER
3. Enter the code: Where's that axe?
4. Press ENTER again to confirm

You now have a monumental titan under your control. You can summon as many as you want, there is no limit. Enjoy!

You'll have to do some messing with your files on this one.

Got to My Documents/My Games/Age of Empires3/Savegame (make a backup/copy of this file first in case something goes wrong, you'll be able to replace files then). Select the .xml file sp_yourcityname_homecity, right-click and select 'Open With >' and choose 'Notepad'. Scroll down until you see xx. For xx type in a high number. Highest is 999 (turst me, I tested how high it can go). Save the file and turn on your game. Got to your city and click got decorate your city. You should now have 999 (or what ever digit you chose) unlock points to unlcok props.

Here is another amazing cheat that is used for this game. A bombard that shoots rodents, it gives you a laugh and gives your enemy a fright. Here is the cheat

First take not that you best make a backup of the file we are about to modify...

Here goes: First go to C:Program Files/Microsoft Games/Age of Empires III/data

Then open the XML Document file called "proto" with Notepad. There just use Ctrl+F to bring up the search option and enter "PopulationCount" and search down, then next to that you will see a number, for example the Settler will be 1, Settlerwagon 2...etc. So simply change that number; if you change it all to 1 for every unit, then you can have an army of 200+ men, but be careful though, because if you change siege weapons to a very low number, then you might get an unpleasant attack of the enemy busting in your town with dozens of siege weapons, but either way this makes the game more pleasant and also more challenging if played on a harder difficulty ^_~

To get 10000 coin push enter and type in "give me liberty or give me coin".
