If you are new to this game you will find yourself in tche airport and look at both sides of the car park(look at both sides)and you will find a cash thingy and drive towards it and you will have got 20 bank.

When you are in a tight spot in a race don't be afraid to hit the nitrous with everything you've got to put you in first place.

Have you ever seen people do wheelies in this game? And all the tutorials are on computer? Well, I put alot of work into and learned to do it on console. This requires:

Here's the trick now, make sure you are at 0 MP/H. Tap the left analog stick up simultaneously along with tapping R1 the same way, after about 5 seconds, stop. Your cars front should be bouncing automatically, hold the Handbrake to prevent moving forward, and when your car is about to go up, punch the gas and nitrous, your car will pull up, and if done right your car can go atleast 4 seconds in a wheelie. 7 with manual transmission. This takes a little practice to get good at it.

The best drift car is the Volkswagen Golf. The world record single drift for this car is 3.3 Million points. For tuning information I would check the web for the perfect tunings that can be set at the Dyno Track.

Putting suspension on your car can give you the edge in Street X races.

Before you do an outrun race, do a California Stop(when you run into the back right side of the car)and press up.Use as much nitro as you can until you win.Doing the California Stop will cause you opponent to spin out making it harder for them to win.

On Drift Modes take as long as you like drifting because when all the racers are at the finish line and not you it gives you a chance to rack up points.

If you wanna win an easy outrun,drive to someone on the highway on the right and push the back left side of the car until itspins out and press the up button to join the outrun and use ALL your nos.This works because while your opponents car spins,you will gain speed because highways gain the most speed because you'll go real fast!

Ok. To all you people who say make a car look cool, you don't have to. Just stick with what you have. If you have awsome performance, it makes up for looks.
Now for the money.
REAL TIP
My way of making money is to get on the highway. I start cruising at around 20 below my max, which is 157mph. I then keep going around the highway without getting off until I find a tuner. I use NOS to boost and I hit the tuner in the bumper HARD! Then at the last second when I can challenge, I take it. Then I zoom off. When you win, you can continue and get money and upgrades.
EXTRA STUFF
My quickest outrun race was 3.2 seconds. For some odd reason the tuner did doughnuts and my car went 200 mph(!?!?!?).

When doing my way of money, sometimes when you zoom off the tuner takes the lead somehow and he goes the other way. Some wierd things happen in outruns.

When you start out, get the Pudegout(spelling). It is very good in top speed.

Try getting the view in the best position viewing the trunk.
Start driving around. Your bound to run in to a person in a pimped out ride. When you do(if you do) go infront of him just & stop drive control. Maybe use nos during it
After that find the best view of front end, then take the photo
This is better with a normal car

Another way: open up your hood, Doors & your trunk. Then get out of showoff & go into drive control. Quickly use nitrous purge & get out of it. You can haveany view you like. After that just take the photo
This is better with an SUV

Basically any car can win a race like that if you have killer suspension.

When you do this, make sure to be on the big interstate. (Highway) First, you get behind your rival and start the outrun. You know when you're driving down the highway, there are those safety blocks seperating the lanes going in the opposite direction. Wait until the safety blocks end, and then quickly switch lanes right before they start again so your opponent will be confused and stop and turn around, and within that time you will win. Make sure your rival is less than 250 feet away when you switch lanes.

The best starting car by way is the Purgeot (sorry about spelling) 106
The downsid is that it sucks at Drag!

Ok, to get the fastest car get that stupid mazda miata that you would call it...

And tune it, it's stats for acceleration top speed and handling all most at the end of the line! and when u tune it at body shop it looks really rad!!!!!!!

You will be unstoppable if you tune you car with all unique parts.

Most of the dudes here say that nissan skyline is the fastest car in the game, well no- skyline sucks at drift the only thing that is good at this car is that it's accelaration is at the top, but my friend can't beat me with his stupid skyline, he fix everything he can in the dyno are but he still can't beat me. Every car has ability to beat others, it's just that some cars are truely fast but not that fast!!!
I wont' tell you my favorite car but I have my top five and skyline is not one of them, I only use my top 3 car to beat my friends skyline and guess what it's rx-7.
So don't be saying that skyline is the fastest because it's not!

For long an straight races it is bettter to use then Nissan Skyline

The best car for Street-X races is the Mazda Miata

Ok Im not giving the actual setting away figuar them out on your own but for steetX you want handling, drag speed (duuuuuuhhhhhh), out runs I don't know drift acll., spint speed (also Duuuhhhhh)Ill post more later

If you are in somewhere in the middle of the game and you want a cooler car, I would recommend you to before you choose the car, go to the main menu and go to customize and tune up the car you wanted there to see if the parts you are going to istall it look cool.

It's kinda an obvious one, but seriously just do loads of Outruns during a stage and before the final race of that stage and you can get Uniques of just about anything.

If you want to have cars with 10 stars and as fast as it can then only get 4 car as you go through the game, I recomend that you get an SUV too

Its quite simple actually and you can do it on either carrear or th cusumize carz on main screen.

But basilcly you need to choose a vynal you want under neath your uniqe(i recomend a full body vinyl) and place in 1st slot then Purchace setup then deleate the vinyl you just bought and change the vinyl to your uniqe then go out of that menu (dont exit the garage or purchace setup) and go to paints.scroll round in there for a sec and then click /\.

Tada uniqe vinyl over a body vynal (also you get more Visual Rating).also it works on Xbox aswell

Get up close to stairs or somthing lower thn the front of your car when hidralucs Then preform hidrous and you will bounce the better the hidrous the higher you go.

For the steering ratio, it's actually better if you set it to soft as your steering will respond more quickly. For the sway bar and shocks, you need to have them around half way and springs: always have them to hard.

While in freerun follow these steps for a 2000+ point nitro

1. Stop the car
2. Set off and turn as hard as you can as though you're doing a 360
3. Let go of the left analog stick after about 90 degrees
4. Keep going as long as you want
5. Stop after about 2 minutes before you crash into traffic or a wall

If done correctly you should get a 2000+ point bonus which will fill your N20 gauge AND the overflow.

When in a race, especially sprints, look for shortcuts. They give you a great advantage on the track.

Uh you can wheelie without hydroils,go to brakes

Ok people, this trick is simple and it's effective. It'll be better if you do it on the highway, or where you have more space to drive.

Go chase any opponent car, but don't challenge him yet. First do some drafting with the enemy car. You can fill up your nitrous oxide very quickly in this way. Once you're done filling up your N2O, make some more drafting, but push the car from behind, then he'll brake and you'll make him turn either left or right, not take a right or left road, I mean, that his car will turn to one side and slide. When his car stops, then he'll retake the road, so here it goes: When you see his car starts to drift, accept the challenge, drive away, and use your entire N2O. If you're lucky, he'll take some time to retake the road and you'll easily win. If that doesn't work, then here's another hint:

When driving on the highway, there are some parts where the road divides into 2, 3 or more roads. Drive from one of those divisions towards the part where the road divides, then make a quick turn to the furthest road on the left or the right, the closest one, the ones that go down into the city. If done quickly enough,your opponent will go past the road you took, or take some time in turning around, giving you some seconds to use some N2O and leave him far away to win.

When you are doing drag racing do not control the car. This game is like slot cars. Simply tap the joystick left or right to change lanes or avoid traffic accidents.

More nos: have level 2 hydraulics and level3 nos. Put car in manual. Drive in a straight line until in 3rd gear, stay in mid 3rd gear. Slam squarely into a wall and hit the e-brake just before you do. Hold the e-brake until completely stopped, then release and hold quickly. Then jam the analog stick up and down until the hydraulics start. You will get the points from that plus the points from the air you will get. Also, jump a car or dodge an accident and you will get extra nos.

Beat outruns: slam into the back of an opponents and hit the up button to challenge them. This will get you a major head start.

This trick gives you 500 points. It's easier to do it in a open space in the high-way.
When you are speeding down the high way at a high speed use hand brake and left or right at the same time. When your about 3/4 turned around hit reverse and turn the oppisite directionand half way on that turn hit up and go foward. If done correctly, you will get 500 points.
This may take time...

To load cars for player 2, press square, this allows player 2 to also pick the created cars.

To unlock most car parts you need to find newer parts shops.

Firstly make sure your car is nos and hydrolic capable, then repeatly with the right analog press up, down, up down until your nos is full to the max!

Next you start out on career, and those of you that had NFSUG1 (need for speed underground 1) will be well aware of Samantha, well she wont be on there, her friend Rachel will be. She is played by Brooke Burke.
Ok you have to now watch the lil movie and pick a car
You might want to pick the honda civic because it the fastest car so far and the stats of it are incredable!

Your first race, ahhh sweet victory! You get to pick a race of your choice by pressing up on your keypad you choose a race, if there are more than 1 race ( which you can tell on the map) you can use the analog stick and press it right to see the races. Once you choose the GPS system will appear and you follow the arrow to the race. Once you get to the race, you press on the keypad, and your race has begun

You get bank for winning the races

When you start the game( after you get your first car) go to the preformance shop (on the way try to get money fron the icons on the road) when you get there go under ECU and for only 100 dollors remove the top speed limiter. That should make your car dramatically faster.

When the out run is available wait till you know you can get fast quick, push up and bingo your in the lead.

First supe up your car to the way you like it then go to the dyno track select any track doesn't mater.

Select "tune settings" and front end low as it go's and same with rear and all suspention stuff now go to trany setttings and set to top speed front down.

Force strong same with rear tyre grip strong same with front and brake to rear now in the ecu at 3000 rpm put it as low as it goes and same with 4000 rpm and the same in turbo.

Note: this works best with level 3 parts

If you don't know already there is an options menu where you can change the difficulty. The first one is difficulty is medium so just change it to easy. Simple!!!

To get more than one car in career you have to unlock other places.

Each time you unlock more places you will get more cars.

If you want the best car to start with i would pick the corsa it has awsome handling and has some destructive acceleration its better towards the end when you have kitted it up then you will know what im talking about.

The Nissan Skyline is the fastest car on the game, but also the worst at handling.

It's good at drag, circuit and sprint but it's rubbish at street x and can't drift to save it's life (because of IBS (Intelligent Braking System)).

Also, to do well at drift (in any car) get level 3 suspension and tyres and set the suspension to soft and make the rear sway bar soft and the front stiff.

Also, set the gears to high accelaration and set the tyres to high - grip. (this is so you don't crash on bends and lose all your drift points.

Is particularly useful on down hill drift.)

If you have used all of your Nitro in the Out Run races while in Free Ride Mode
you can quickly get your gauge back up full (even at level 3 Nitro).

All you need to do is reverse (make sure you look behind you at all times)
when you reach to speed reversein you will start to be given Nitro points.

Before you say this is bogus try it.
I got to over 1200 points while reverseing and it filled my level 3 Nitro instantly.

Have you found all the hidden shops?
Have you done all the SUV races?
Did you do the first 2 races with Rachel's car?

Press up left and right to toggle with opening the doors, bonnet and back.

To get special stuff win alot of outrun races. Just keep challenging people till you get a message for new stuff. Hope this helps!

When in an outrun race go up to the person you want to race then get close to the back of their car, turn sharply towards their bumper in an attempt to spin them.

Press up to race them they will be spinning out of control and you'll win the race and collect uniques and $100.

When you first start the game you have to take Rachels car back and choose yours when the fastest car out the selection is the pug 106.

All the N4SU2 players stuck in level 4, if you want to get level 5, you have to spend some money in latest visual udgrades, paint, body, special stuff,
be sure, that everything that you purchas, be the best.
