Introduction
STEAM REVIEW

Steam is not actually a game, it's a game engine manager for any game made using the Half Life engine or Source engines (both are made by VALVe). Such games managed with this engine include Half-Life, Half-Life 2, CounterStrike, Opposing Force, Deathmatch (classic), and more recently, non-HL and non-Source games have been compatible with Steam. Such games include Darwinia, Codename Gordon, and Ragdoll Kung Fu.
Graphics
09
The graphics all depend on what game your'e actually playing. Games such as CS: Source and HL2 have incredible graphics, and others such as Codename Gordon, are 2D. So whichever way you play 3D or 2D, Steam is for you and everyone. Most of all, you can download games for it anytime!
Sound
08
The sounds in the games can do with a little tiny bit of fixing up in the original HL, but in games such as CS, there's nothing better than sneaking up behind your enemy and listening to a gory slash as you slice them to bits with a knife!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gameplay
10
Gameplay also depends on which game you play. Most of the games made with steam are FPS's (first person shooters) and allow mass collaboration with an unlimited number of targets (players, hehehe) but other games such as Darwinia (Strategy) and Conename Gordon (2D Platform) follow much different forms of gameplay.
Lastability
10
It lasts forever because if you get sick of one game, you can always play another! And there's so many games to shoose from. And, if you get sick of all the games, you can just as easily write your own! That's the great thing about Steam, it's flexible, and fun!
Overall
10
It's just THE BEST game engine ever written, thank the absolutely great guys at VALVe for making such a versatile game engine, that's not only fun, but it's flexible too. You too can make a game using the HL or source engines, there are hundreds of tutorials on the net.
Final Score : 94 %
