At options bar use easy and turn off damage indicator. When race starts allow competators to drive off. Follow slowly, make no attempt to catch up. If you get far enough behind all the other competators will crash twice per lap which allows you to catch up. At first crash allow cars to drive off and again follow slowly. There's no rush, any over-taken cars will re-take you. Don't worry. The important crash is the second one. It ocurrs just before the last banked curve that leads to the long finish-line straight. As you approach the second crash it's race on. You must exit the final banked curve fifth or better, which is easily achiveable. Accelarate hard down the final straight, the cars in front will slow down allowing you to cross the finish line first. Once you've crossed the line allow other cars to race off into distance then repeat process until all laps complete. It worked for me as usual cheat for race wouldn't work.
