If you keep changing your characters to a different class and fight around Gondo to level up it is possible to get almost ALL the spells. For example, change to Dealer, then Thief, then Jester, then Sage.

In every game there are 2 Zen Scroll Books that allow you to create a Sage but they can also be created when you get stronger by changing one of your characters into a Jester and training it to level 20 and then taking it to the Dharma Temple. The Sage option is automatic for any Jester at level 20 and it is possible to have more than one Sage per game.

When you begin gameplay immediately visit the king in Aliahan. If you then keep creating characters in the town you will eventually be prompted to remove one. If you then leave the town when this happens you will lose ALL Gold but you will gain 8 combat spells.

Leave the castle and go to the 'Adventurer's Hall of Registration'. Create a list of soldiers, then go downstairs to the 'Eatery'. If you then enlist 3 of the soldiers, sell their equipment and remove them from your party you will collect 400 Gold. Keep repeating this procedure to gain as much money as you desire.
