The Game: The Basics and Game ModesAdded 11 Apr 2008, ID #29771
If you want a game with ninja action, this is the game for you! This game is only for PS2. If you're a Naruto fan, you already would know what it should be like. If not, I'll tell you a little about the game. You can tell that it's the 3rd game of the series. In Ultimate Ninja 3, there's up to 40 playable characters; a few are already unlocked for you at the beginning of the game. There are 5 different modes to play: Ultimate Road, Ultimate Contest, The Break Room, VS. Mode, and Iruka's Training.

Ultimate Road allows you to play through a story mode of Naruto's life. For you Naruto fans, it only goes up to the Naruto vs. Sasuke battle.

Ultimate Contest is a game where you have to collect crystals within a specified time limit (it will not desplay throughout the game). Blue crystals are worth 1 point, and red crystals are worth 5 points. At the end of the game, the two characters will face off to determine the winner of the contest. You can unlock all the characters through this mode.

The Break Room is composted of 3 playable minigames, Tree Climbing, Nice Guy's Excersizes, and Ten Ten's Target Practice. Tree Climbing is kinda obvious on what you have to do, but you have to watch out for obsticles along the way to the top. Nice Guy's Excersizes is composted of another 3 games. To win the whole thing, you have to win at least 2 of the 3 games. Finally, Ten Ten's Target Practice is a game of target practice, obviously. You have to press triangle, circle, square, and X to hit certain targets that pop up.

VS. Mode is your basic 1 on 1 match, which of course, you can either fight against a friend or a computer played character.

Then finally, there's Iruka's Training mode. If you're not convident in your skills on the game, or just want to have fun with infinate health, you can go here to practice and eventually get better at the game. You can set your opponent to be computer played, or played by a friend.

So there you have it. I hope my decribtion has persuaded the readers to get this game.
