Weapons - There are multiple swords in Minecraft. Below we shall tell you each one, as well as a little about them. Enjoy!

You must use a crafting bench to make each of these weapons.

Wooden Sword: The most basic of swords, it is also the weakest, and in terms of damage only does about two hearts of damage. It can be crafted by putting two wood planks on a wooden stick. They must all be in the center column of the crafting table. Durability is about 60 hits.

Gold Sword: This sword isn't very strong despite being made of gold. It does the same amount of damage as a Wooden Sword, which is two hearts. It can be crafted by putting two Gold Ingots on a wooden stick. Durability is about 30 hits.

Stone Sword: The next step up. In terms of damage, this sword can do about two and a half hearts of damage. The recipe is the same as the Wooden Sword, except instead of Wooden Planks you use Cobblestone.
Durability is about 130 hits.

Iron Sword: The second best sword in the game. It can be made by mining Iron Ore, and then smelting the Iron Ore to make Iron Ingots. It is crafted the same as the other swords, except for putting two Iron Ingots on a Wooden Stick.
Durability is about 250 hits.

Diamond Sword: The best sword in the game. You craft it by mining Diamond Ore, however Diamond Ore can only be mined using an Iron Pickaxe or better. Anyways, unlike Gold and Iron, you don't need to smelt Diamond Ore, because once you mine it, it turns into a Diamond. The recipe for this sword is the same as the others, except for using Diamonds. Two Diamonds on a Wooden Stick.
Durability is about 1560 hits.

Note, Durability is the amount of uses you can use an item before it breaks. I.E. 1 hit = 1 use.
