Metal: Hellsinger Cheats and Tips

Make sure to calibrate your settings

Since Metal:Hellsinger is a rhythm game first and foremost, you'll need to make sure that your audio and visual settings are calibrated properly. When starting the game, you'll be provided with a calibration option. Make sure that you do this so you can sync the audio with the video properly or else you won't be able to time your beat well.

Also, try to avoid using devices that may cause input lag. When using your TV or display, try to see if there's any game mode available. Also, try to avoid using wireless headsets or earphones which may have some delay. In order to make the most out of the game, audio and video really need to be in sync.

Know the difference of a Beat and a Rhythm

In Metal: Hellsinger, you'll get to have a mix in terms of gameplay since you need to know beats and rhythms while having a FPS gameplay added in. With this in mind, you need to know some basics in terms of music since this will help you out throughout all levels that there are.

Think of a beat as a steady pulse, like a heartbeat or a clock. You can also count 1, 2, 3, 4 where each timing is equal and it refers to a song's tempo. In the game, listen for the bass drum since it mostly shows you the beat. The rhythm will refer to the different notes that you hear going up and down, they also range from short to long sounds.

Build up your damage by following the beat

If you start listening to the song and have identified the beat, you can perhaps count out loud so you can time hits alongside it. Whether it be 1,2,3,4 or taps, use whatever suits your style of keeping with the beat. If you aim to deal damage, following the beat closely will make it higher and you can have a good streak.

Take note as well that following the beat should be done in all actions that you do. Whether you're slashing with your sword, shooting with your gun, or reloading your ammo, try to make sure that you keep to the beat of the music.

Know when to use your weapons

While keeping up your beat in defeating enemies, you're able to swap to different kinds of weapons for your use. Most of the time, you'll be using different types of guns in rotation according to your needs. You have your pistol, shotgun, revolvers, machine guns, and more, and they all have their strengths. Your pistol can be used for keeping a steady beat when damaging enemies since this weapon doesn't need to be reloaded.

Your shotgun on the other hand is quite strong in close range because it causes spread damage which is useful for clearing out mobs. However, this one needs to be reloaded so you may miss a bit if you don't time things properly. You also have throwing scythes, your bow, and more which have different ranges. Try to get to know each weapon and practice with them first so you'll be familiar with how to use them while keeping your beat.

Try your best to keep moving

Aside from walking around the stage in order to fight enemies, there are a lot of movement options that you can do in order to go around. You can strafe around by moving left and right, jump up high, and then doing a special move called "death from above" in order to deal a special combo with a physical hit.

As you keep on moving around, you'll be able to have more chances to find enemies. Also, as you keep on moving, you'll be able to do evasive maneuvers that will help you with staying alive. Finding more enemies as you keep on moving will also help you in building up a high hit streak for your score.

Recover your health with slaughtering

Focusing on long ranged attacks isn't the only thing that you should focus on when playing the game. As you play the game, landing hits far away can be connected with different physical combos as well. For example, slaughter combos can be used to finish opponents with an attack that can help recover your health as well. This can be useful if there are no healing sources nearby which are usually green ores that you need to hit.

You can find weaker opponents in order to do slaughter attacks for easy recovery. However, for harder enemies, this may be hard to do. Keep on moving across the field so you'll have access to different enemy types, and this way you'll be able to slaughter quickly. Take note as well you need to be on beat as well as in range to perform slaughters.

Keep up your Fury

One of the aspects of the game is to improve your damage as long as you keep up the beat. You'll see a meter that will increase, and this refers to your fury. Your goal for maximum damage is to have a high fury meter, so you'll want to keep on doing actions that follow the beat of the song.

However, there may be instances where there are no enemies in sight. So, what can you do in order to maintain your fury? Your pistol, called Paz, is useful for such situations. This weapon doesn't need to be reloaded, so you can keep on shooting to the beat while there aren't enemies around. This way, you'll keep your fury maintained for your damage output.

Time your ultimate skills

The weapons that you use are not only meant for killing enemies while following the beat. As you defeat opponents and have good streaks, your weapons also have their own gauge that can fill up which can lead you to using an ultimate attack. This gauge however takes some time to fill up, so it would be best for you to use it against strong opponents such as a boss, or if you're overwhelmed by enemies in number.

Using ultimates against bosses is a good way for you to get rid of a huge chunk of their HP, or perhaps even use it as a finisher. However, there may be times where you're not able to kill enough enemies in time and they may swarm you, causing you to lose a lot of HP. Your ultimate not only hits hard, but it can also eradicate multiple enemies as well. It would be a waste if you used it on a weak enemy when you'll need it later on in the level.
