Although the inventory size in Mass Effect Legendary Edition has been increased, you still need to manage the Weapons, Armors, and Mods you acquire between Missions, Assignments, and explorations. If you exceed the allowable weight capacity the game will convert the items into Omni-gels.

It is therefore important that you manage your inventory and get rid of the lowest-tier weapons and armor before you exceed the weight limit. You can sell most of the items you have acquired for credits, which is the game's currency, to the Normandy Requisitions Officer. He is stationed in the SSV Normandy's storage section, immediately to the right side upon leaving the elevator, just forward of the Mako. If you make a mistake and sell something you did not mean to sell, there is always the possibility that you will be able to buy it back. Most vendors will keep the last 20 items you sold them, so you should be able to easily find it and purchase it again in the event of a mistake or later need.
