First go to the 2nd bar when you load Minecraft ( Multiplayer ) and it will say 'Scanning for LAN Worlds.Below is Join Server Direct Connectet ( and in your case ) Add Server. Click that and some stuff will pop up type in a name for your server and type in numbers and periods ( example ) 100.100.101.101 then it will go with the world you set up and BAM!!!!! THERE YOU GO!

How to join a server:

So yeah what you gotta do to find an ip is go to Google or YouTube and search Minecraft Server 1.4.6 (Depending on what version of minecraft it is). Then just put the ip in your Minecraft.
