To switch game modes
If you on survival (have cheats on) and want to have a mega house? Well type /gamemode 1. If your on creative and you have an epic house that you want to live in on survival type /gamemode 0 (must have cheats on). If your on hardcore and you want to change game modes than type /gamemode 1 for creative, /gamemode 0 for survival. MUST HAVE CHEATS ON!!!
