Lil Gator Game Beginner Cheats and Tips

Take a look at our Lil Gater Game Beginner Cheats and tips to get help in this 3D platform game where you control a young alligator who spends its time trying to get its older sister's attention. As the young aligator, you will be able to earn cardboard money and objects that can be used to craft new items that open up new areas of the world. The game is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC.

  • Learn the Landmarks

Try to get familiar with the four major landmarks in Lil Gator Game as quickly as possible, these are:

    • The Playground
    • The Mountains
    • The Forest
    • The Windmill

Once you know their locations in relation to each other you won't get lost as you explore the island searching for new friends. If you do get lost when you begin playing the game you simply have to follow the dirt paths around the island as they will lead you to different landmarks.

  • Complete Quests Immediately

Seek out the various NPCs that are scattered throughout the game and immediately start a discussion with them. When you do so they will give you a quest to complete, this can be anything from defeating cardboard enemies that are nearby to fetching an item for them.

The game does not provide a map so you need to tackle the NPC's quests immediately otherwise you may find it difficult locating them again if you decide to return later. Altogether, there are fifty-seven friends to encounter and finish their mini-quests. However, you only need to find and help thirty-five in order to complete the main quest.

  • Explore the Island by Gliding

The best way in Lil Gator Game to explore the island is to go to the highest place available, hop off of it and glide around the area. You will not use up any stamina while you are gliding and slowly dropping to the ground.

Make sure while you are gliding through the air you look around for jars, chests, cardboard, and friends. You shouldn't have much problem spotting friends when you are high up in the air as they will stick out among the island's greenery.

  • Hit All the Cardboard Enemies and Pots

The main form of currency in Lil Gator Game is crafts and confetti and you will earn them by attacking cardboard enemies, hitting pots, and breaking open the chests you come across. Make sure you search every nook and cranny and gather as much of this currency as you can to build up your reserve so you are able to grab everything you need.

  • Obtain the Bracelets

In Lil Gator Game you can increase your climbing power by acquiring four Bracelets from a monkey for 500 Crafting Bits a piece. The first Bracelet can be found on the tutorial island in front of a waterfall near where you get your Pot Lid Shield from Martin.

Once you have these bracelets you will be able to climb anything in the game, this even includes trees and cliffs. Keep in mind though that you will have limited stamina.

  • How to Reach Higher Ledges

If you are climbing with a bracelet and discover your stamina has almost depleted you should do a small jump when you are almost out of energy. If you do this you will perform a full jump which will enable you to reach higher ledges.

  • Double Jump using your Shield

You will be able to obtain a total of 12 shields in Lil Gator Game and they are useful for sliding and hopping over the water at great speeds. The first shield is found on the tutorial island. Just head across the bridge right past where Big Sis is sitting, and look up and to the left. There you will see Martin the horse sitting on a deck overlooking the water. Go over and talk to this NPC who will ask you to grab a nearby pot for him which he will then give you the lid, which is a shield.

This shield can be used to slide down ledges quickly so you move around the island fast. You can also perform a flip with the shield which you can use as a double jump if you activate it at the peak of your hop. This double jump will not only give you more horizontal distance but will also slightly increase your verticle distance. It will allow you to access cliffs you wouldn't be able to reach otherwise.

  • Perform Combos to Cover Long Distances

You will need to use a combination of maneuvers to reach far-away cliffs that are slightly below your starting point. If you perform the combination below correctly at the right distance you will discover you will be able to access new areas in the game.

    • Jump toward the cliff
    • Activate your gliding ability and move toward the area
    • Use your bubble gum which lets you briefly float in the air once you reach the cliff or start to climb it
    • Activate your shield flip before you start to fall to maximize your height

  • Prioritize Items Over Equipment

You will find that it is more beneficial to obtain items than it is equipment. This is because the different equipment you can obtain are simply cosmetic versions of existing swords, shields, and hats and will not give you any additional abilities whereas the items you can get have different uses based on the situation.

Only three items will appear in the shop at a time. If they only have equipment you may want to consider purchasing the cheapest option to see if a new item appears among the options.
