Make sure to manually save at the end of the day

Before you head out to the post station, it would be best for you to manually save the game at the end of each day. In doing so, you will be able to repeat the next day when needed just in case you missed to do something. There are some tasks in the game that can be done only on specific days as well. With manual saving, you'll have the option of repeating just a day's worth of progress.

If you don't save manually and keep on continuing through your days, you might miss out on a specific day required. It would be an ordeal to go through the entire game, so don't forget to save at the end of the day.

Can achievements be missed in Lake?

In Lake, you'll be going through different days in the game. This means that once your day has ended, and you moved on to the next day, you won't be able to play it anymore unless you saved at the end of the day prior to that. With this in mind, there will be some things that you'll need to do in order to unlock achievements, and some of these have specific days in mind.

If you finished a day and moved on to the next and saved, you won't have access to prior days any longer. This means that if you missed an achievement relating to the days before, you'll be able to miss them. You will have to replay the game in order to get specific achievements, so keep this in mind.

How can I get the Cat Lover achievement?

The Cat Lover achievement can be missed if you did not do the requirement. On day 3, what you need to do is to accept the request of Mildred in taking care of her cat named Mortimer. In doing so, you will need to drive Mortimer to Mr. Mackey's boathouse.

Head back the next day so you can pick up Mortimer. Once that's done, simply return him back to Mildred in order for you to unlock the Cat Lover achievement.

How can I get the Movie Carrier achievement?

The Movie Carrier achievement can be missed if you did not do the requirement. On day 4, there's a character named Angie who will talk about a plan for delivering her mail. She will ask if you could meet up at your home, so make sure to agree.

At your home, she will ask if you can deliver her movies. Accept this request, and deliver the movies every day to Angie. Once you reach day 8, you'll be invited to go to the cinema with her. Accept this as well, and you'll unlock the Movie Carrier achievement.

How can I get the Workaholic achievement?

The Workaholic achievement can be missed if you did not do the requirement. On day 3, you should receive a call from Steve once your work ends. He'll ask if you can do some work for him so make sure to agree. The next day, you'll have 3 options that you can do once work is finished. Make sure that you do Steve's Job.

You can repeat this at Day 7 and do the contract and end it on day 8 in order to unlock the achievement. However, if you went to the cinema with Angie then you can tell Robert you're busy the next day. Steve will contact you and you should be able to review the contracts, this should also unlock the achievement.

How can I get the Shutterbug achievement?

The Shutterbug achievement can be missed if you did not do the requirement. On Day 5, you can head to the general store and talk to the woman about photos. You can tell her you like taking photos and she'll be able to give you a camera that you can use.

In order to unlock the achievement you need to take at least 5 photos until the end of day 12. The next day, you can deliver an item to her store and you should be able to unlock the achievement. If you do not want to take photos until day 12, you can easily take a lot of photos quicker and get the achievement as early as day 10 as well.

How can I get the Higher Ground achievement?

The Higher ground achievement can be missed if you did not do the requirement. In order to get this, you should visit the church with your car. If you check your map, it's located on the north side of the lake and it has a huge church icon in it, there's a small road leading up to that location.

In order for the achievement to appear, make sure to drive really up close to the church. It's possible that it might be bugged if it didn't appear right away, so you can try on other days as well. You can even drive your car until it touches the church just to make sure you can get the achievement.

How can I unlock the first ending (Hometowner achievement)?

There are different endings available in the Lake that can give achievements, so make sure to save at the evening of day 13. The first ending will give you an achievement based on your decision that you will make on Monday morning.

Once Frank talks to you, you need to tell him that you want to stay in town. This will unlock the ending and achievement for you. If you did not save, then you won't be able to get the other endings and achievements, so be careful.

How can I unlock the second ending (Life in the Fast Lane achievement)?

Similar to the first ending, it's best if you save at the evening of day 13 so you can get the other endings and achievements. The second ending will provide you with an achievement based on what you say on Monday morning.

Once Frank talks to you, you will tell him that you want to leave town. In doing so, he'll drive you to the airport and you'll be able to get the achievement. If you did this ending without saving on day 13, you won't be able to get the other endings.

How can I unlock the third ending (Free Spirit achievement)?

When playing through Lake, you'll be able to go through different days and go with the story of your character. Your job is to deliver mail, so there's going to be some series of events that will happen. There is a third ending that's available in the game, and it requires you to have a specific decision on day 11. Make sure that you do not give Lori the RV on this day.

To get all endings, make sure to save at the end of day 13 as well. Once Frank talks to you on Monday morning, you can get an option for going on a road trip. Take note that this won't appear if you gave Lori the RV on day 11. Also, it's possible to go on a road trip with Angie if you have a romantic relationship with her.
