Introduction

Kung Fu Chaos is a great party game. It is a mix between a Tekken like arcade game and Mario Party with Mini games. Although the one player game is fairly good, it does get slightly boring playing this game by yourself after a while. But that isn't really important, as this game really stands out when you have a bunch of friends over. Hours of hilarious fun.

Graphics

The graphics are very sharp, and snappy with great effects, all done in a cartoonish style. There isn't anything particurlarly bad with the graphics, but neither is there anything that is particurlarly good either. So the graphics of this game isn't what makes this game so playable and fun.

Sound

The sound is much like the graphics, not bad, but neither brilliant. The music is fairly amusing though, with some amusing oriental sounding music going to set the comic tone of the game. The in-game sound effects aren't to bad either, setting the tone of the game quite well.

Gameplay

Now this is what really makes this game shine. The one player game is quite ingenious in itself, with an excellently amusing plotline. The game involves three main types of levels, long story levels where you have to move as you fight, short fight levels in a small area, and mini game levels. This combination makes sure nothing gets to repetitive, and thius the one player game is much more amusing then a standard fighting arcade game might be. Although the single player game seems already fairly good, the multiplayer option is what made me purchase this game. When You have a bunch of friends over, this game turns from good to absolutely genius!!! Chasing your mates through random levels, throwing each other into spikes, versing each other in mini games, it really is a lot of fun when more human players are involved. And even if you have more then four people it still is pretty good, as watching people play is almost as good as playing, especially when they do stupid things like jump off the level. The only bad thing about the multiplayer aspect of this game is that you cannot system link with other xboxes to play 8 or 12 player Kung Fu Chaos - that would be absolute madness!!!

Lastability

As said in the introduction, this games single players ide is fairly good at first , but after a while can get quite boring. It isn't a particularly long game either, so you can easily finish it in a couple of hours. But I have given this game a high lastability score, as playing this game with other people is great fun. I think me and my mate spent almost a whole day playing this game. I can't see how this game could ever become boring with other people around. I would havce given it a 10, but taking the slightly mediocre single player game into account, I have scaled it back to a 10.

Overall

To sum this game up, it is a great game all round. A highly amusing and innovative single player game combined with a brilliant multiplayer game. As a single player game, this might not be worth getting but with lots of friends around, you cannot go wrong with this. Hours of fun as a party game!!!
