Some of the games has 255 or 256 lives. To do that for an example scramble is 1 of the games ( it really is) go play the game. Then pause it and go to the dip switches (if you know how 2) and go to the live switches. Try all the codes of the switches and 1 of them will be that 1. It would look like it has 7 or 8 lives. But when you lose a live all the lives will still be there. Note: you will still lose a live. Note again: those codes can only be used by games that have 5 lives maximum in the life option. ( not the switch option)

When you have selected Gradius at the 'Main' menu go to the 'Title' screen and press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A. If you have entered the code correctly you will hear a confirmation sound. When you now begin your game press the 'Start' button to Max-out your ship with every power-up (not including Speed). This code can only be entered once so don't waste it.
