Chapter 8-1: Back to Basics

Here head forward down the middle path for some sun stone, then down the path on the left to continue. You'll run into a green beetle this way. These things are *much* more aggressive than the previous beetles from way back in the game. They do a dash move and can slam into the ground for an area attack, so once again attack after they do.

Keep going past the falling rocks to another beetle. After that you will encounter a scorpion. This thing tries to swipe at you with its claws and has a spin move that it will do (just attack after he does, of course). Once you beat him you'll see a scene.

Head forward and you'll meet a purple beetle. This guy slams the ground too but also has a spinning move he'll do. Take him out and move forward. Note the red crystals everywhere. Getting near them will make them explode and hurt you. Kill the two beetles while watching out for them and head onward, killing another one and the scorpion that pops out.

Further in are three beetles and a scorpion. Take the beetles out one at a time and then the scorpion. Grab the relics and take out the next scorpion. Continue on for a scene. We'll be up against four beetles here. Use a Shockwave if you wish, then get ready for three more to come out from the north. Once you hand them. three scorpions will burst out from the right, so take them out and head through the hole.

Grab the relics here and fight the goblin miner. He has a single and double swing so attack after he swings. Continue on and defeat whatever shows up until you see another scene. You'll face a poison scorpion now. He shoots poison at you from a distance. Take him out and further in are three goblin archers. Ugh. Take the left one out first (following solid ground) and then the right one. Take the last one out to open the way forward.

Up ahead are two miners and an archer. Ignore the miners and take out the archer then mop up. Head forward, grab the relics, watch the scene. After that take out the archer and then the beetles. Another beetle will bust in from the right (I'm amazed he broke that rock wall) so take him out too.

Next are three archers. If you stand under them they can't hit you. You can either do that and take them out one at a time or do a Blast here. Carry on (take the lower path for sun) and then head up the upper path for two archers and a miner. Take out the archers first and go down the slide to a scene.

Kill the miner you find and head forward to see a stretch of slippery ground and an archer, miner and scorpion. This is dangerous as getting to the archer is tricky. Still you should take him out first (or if you wanted to, second after letting the miner come to you). Continue on to a scene.

You'll face two archers above you now. Take them out (you can leave the other enemies if you wish) and past them is a slippery area with four beetles. Try and get the purple one to come to you and he'll likely take out the red rock near the start. You can then take them out one by one with air attacks, just do it after they attack and be careful.
