Chapter 6-2: Steam Road

Head forward and take out the guard. The next two guards have a new weapon: a crossbow. They fire *really* fast, but still only fire two shots in a row. Still, you want to take them out as soon as possible since they often will stagger their shots. Check the north wall for some sunstone behind a brittle wall. Head on and you'll see a ninja bot with a spear. He will do thrusting attacks with it. It's best to let him do it, then quickly rush in at him (he may rush backwards), then pound him.

Continue on to see a scene. Knack sees some wood and it gives him an idea. Wood Knack! Hehe... we now have a wood bar just like the ice bar from earlier...

Destroy the wood then take out the sword guard. Further in is a sword and mace guard. Take them out and cross the bridge and gather some more wood. The end of the path has a wall on the right with some sunstone behind it. Climb up and take out the next guards you see (you can go a bit rampage-y now that you have all that wood: things will die in one hit). Head down the next bridge and kill everything. Up the sloped road you can break down the wall for even more wood (you should be maxed now) then continue on.

You'll face more crossbows here. Note that they are indeed fire bolts, so *if* you get hit (you don't want to of course) your wood bits will start to burn up. A timer will appear and once it finishes all your wood will be gone. Take them out and drop down, taking out another guy. Now here there is a door with wood and metal. You can only destroy it if you are on *fire*. This door only has wood in it though, so skip it and head past the bridge.

Collect the wood on the way. Up ahead is another crossbow and ninja bot. Take them out. Now past them is a furnace. As you pass it, you WILL be on fire. No worries, nothing you can do about it. Just continue on and up and fight the two ninja bots you see, using your time to kill them quickly.

After a scene you will want to head to the left and gather up the wood you find. There's also a very obvious brittle wall here you can break for:

HIDDEN CHEST #26:

After fighting the two ninja bots and seeing a scene, head to the left instead of continuing. Gather the wood and break the brittle wall back here to find this chest.

Feel free to continue now. You'll catch on fire again, but will be big. Destroy everything and take a right over a bridge. Kill everyone here and then be sure to destroy the metal and wood door to the left (remember: you must be on fire) for:

HIDDEN CHEST #27:

After being forced to be on fire for the second time, battle your way past a bridge and you'll find a metal and wood door to the left you can break for this part.

Head out and keep going. There's another furnace up here you can recharge at. Up the road is a large open area with some guards and a big shooting robot: take it out quickly and the door will open.

Note: Did you know you can re-visit the furnaces for more on-fire wood? Do so if you need the mass.

Continue on and take out the crossbows. There is a wall here you can break for sunstone. Nab it and then head up the elevator. This path leads to some more crossbows and a mace guard. Take them out and note there is another wall here you can break for more sunstone. Head down the path and kill the crossbow guard, then at the end of this path the camera perspective will change and you can drop down below to some relics (don't try to jump over there before the camera changes) and ride the next elevator down.

Down here get the wood and destroy the ninja bot. Hit up the furnace now (don't skip it) and destroy the guards to the right. Head to the north and you will see an un-lit furnace. Run into it (to light it) and then some platforms will show up. Use them to double jump your way upwards and kill the guard you find.

Hit up this furnace and continue on killing whatever gets in your way. Light the next un-lit furnace you see and use the platforms again to continue up. Gather the sunstone up here and head north to see a scene.

Here we will be able to choose our path at the intersection. We'll break them down below:

SOUTH-EAST

Head down the elevator and you'll see a furnace. This is essentially a race to the end, as we need to still be on fire to light an un-lit furnace at the end.

Light up and rampage your way down the path. You'll face ninja bots, crossbow men, and oil robots along the way. Destroy them all and be careful with how many hits you take (you can only afford a couple). At the end approach the un-lit furnace and you'll find yourself back at the path intersection.

STRAIGHT

This one is simple. You will have a furnace you can bulk up at and then you have three pitched battle between you and the un-lit furnace. Take out any small pesky guards first and then jump over the oil robot's oil and destroy him last. Each room has an oil robot. Focus on avoiding the ranged crossbow damage and you'll be fine.

NORTH-WEST

This path is pretty lame. Bulk up and destroy the three guards, then head upward to an un-lit furnace. Now we must use the platforms to double-jump our way upwards. This is pretty easy, just be sure to pause for a split second after each jump to know where you are jumping next. Light the furnace at the end.

With each furnace lit the elevator opens and we can continue.
