Introduction

Kingdom Hearts. A game that combines Final Fantasy with Disney, and throws in some individuality and originality. This game gets really in-depth, with a lot of detail and things to do. You may think it's for little kids, because of the Disney, but it really isn't. Kids can play it, of course, but the storyline has so much detail that it would take one to be much more mature to get the full feel of the game. Through the rest of this walkthrough, you will read what my opinion on various aspects of the game is.

Graphics

The graphics in this game, though not the quality of many games, are amazing. If you compare them to graphics of the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles' games, you maybe won't think so. But, at the time this game was originally made, these graphics were advanced. The game is mostly a cartoony design. If you take the original Disney animation movies, and turn them to 3D, you'll see what the graphics are in this game, mostly. There are two scenes, only two, that have the graphics of Final Fantasy cutscenes. Obviously, the game would have been able to achieve much, much better graphics, which is why I only gave it an eight. Maybe it would have been hard to turn the entire game into the better looking graphics, but I think it would have been worth it.

Sound

The sound in this game is wonderful. The voice overs match perfectly, in sync with the animation. The voice actors each fit their own character, too. The music in the game is well worth downloading. Utada Hikaru does the theme song for the game. Her voice is beautiful, and really sets the scale for the rest of the sound in the game. Even the sound effects add a lot to the game.

Gameplay

The storyline in the game is amazing. It gets really in-depth, and can really make you think. I would have given this part a ten, but the story can get confusing if you aren't able to play some of the other games in the series, such as those released on the Gameboy Advance or Nintendo DS. If you're strictly a PS2 player, you'll only get this game, and it's direct sequel, Kingdom Hearts II. Because of this, you may become a bit lost with what's going on, but overall, the story is amazing.

Lastability

There are many worlds to travel in this game, and many things to do in each. There are secret areas and items to unlock and find. Even after you beat the main storyline, there are things you can do. There are minigames and sidequests all over the place. You even have the option to have 99 different save files. Though...you'd have to be obsessed to use all of them. You have different choices to make throughout the game, which means that you can replay the entire story, and have an almost completely different experience.

Overall

Overall, this game is amazing. It's one of my favourite games, and I definitely recommend others to play it. If you like Disney, Final Fantasy, or any role-playing game, you'll definitely enjoy this game. The graphics and sounds fit in perfectly with the game, and the storyline gets really in-depth. You can play this game for hours, and not lose any interest in it.

Final Score: 90%
