Make sure you always have the best gear equiped before battle by pressing 'Auto Equip' on your load out. There will be times though when the best gear available will not suit the mission you are on so you may need to tweak your weaponary loadout accordingly.

When using your weapon fire controlled bursts whenever possible so you help prevent it from overheating.

Only use your heavy weapon when necessary like eliminating tanks for example because although it is effective it needs to be recharged. Just use your main weapon for dealing with troops.

You always have the option to replay missions, this is worth doing as they do not take long to complete and can earn you more EXP, ore and equipment.

Watching the ads which last about 30 seconds each will not only replenish your structural integrity it will also give you free ore which can be used to upgrade your weapons and armour.

You can earn more EXP or increase a power benefit before you go into a particularly difficult round by watching the adverts.

Use your shield to block rocket attacks, to do this you just tap on the blue circle that appears around an enemy about to fire.

To get a critical hit in melee combat you need to tap just as the lines meet the very middle. Even if you miss you will still register a regular hit as long as it is in the general area.

During the course of the game your structural integrity will drop on both attack and defense and in order to be competant again you will need to repair it. Tap the icon on the top left of the screen to spend gold or watch an ad to do the necessary repairs.

Constantly forge items, the game will prompt you what to use and inform you what pieces of equipment are at their weakest. Remember to make sure you leave timers running before you leave the game to do something else.

The best strategy when confronted with multiple enemies at once is to focus your attention to those that inflict the most damage on you. If the enemy attacking you are clustered together aiming a burst of gunfire at them can be effective.

Remember that each time that you level up you will gain extra Hit points, these are useful to have as they will allow you to withstand more damage.
