Ways to collect Items, Armor, and Weapons (IT&W) ======================================================== There are three ways to obtain items in the game: A. Shops and Armories The easiest way to aquire items and gear assuming you have the money to pay for it all. As long as you keep killing monsters you should not have to worry about money too much. The only downside to stores is that they only sell the lowest weapon rarity (explained in the next section). ----------------------------------------------- B. Monstor Drops Every now and then monsters will drop items, weapons, and armor. Nobody knows why these monsters were carring them nor why they did not use them when fighting you, but that is besides the point. The items are there for you to pick up and use. They come in any of the four rarity (again, explained in the next section). ----------------------------------------------- c. Quests The hero of thes story, Litto, has the choice of going on many different quests. Some are mandatory to advance the storyline. Others are optional, but reward you with experience, money, or items/gear if you complete them. Items and gear recieved as well as their rarity (again, explained in the next section) are predetermined by the game designers. _______________________________________________________________________________ ========================== II. Item Rarity (IRTY) ========================== There are four types of item rarity: black, blue, red, and yellow (in accending order). You can tell the rarity by the color of the letters in the items name when viewing it in your equipment. One thing to note is that one use items like potions only come in the black rarity. Armor and weapons can be any of the four rarities. The chart below depicts the effects of the four rarities. Rarity|Added Effects ------|-------------- Black |None Blue |Increases Dmg/Def Red |Increases Dmg/Def & adds 1 attribute Yellow|Increases Dmg/Def & adds 2 attributes Attributes boost Litto's stats while the weapon/armor is equiped. _______________________________________________________________________________ ========================== III. Items List (ILST) ========================== ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A. How to use this List (HTUL) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The charts below list the item names, the defensive/offensive range of the gear based on its rarity, the level Litto must be to wield the gear, what towns they're sold in, which monsters I have seen drop them and where they were dropped, and if they can be obtained from quests. The reason the monster earned gear also lists which region I found that monster is that I do not know whether the item you recieve is based off of the region you are in or the monster dropping the item. All monsters and cities that give the items are listed next to or below the items. An example is shown below to clear up any misunderstandings. Name |Def. Range|Equip LVL|Sold @ |Monster Droppings| Quests --------|----------|---------|------------|-----------------|---------- Item #1 | 2 | 1 |Item #1 City|Item #1 monster |Item #1 quest Item #2 | 6 | 7 |Item #2 City|Item #2 monster | | | |Item #2 City|Item #2 monster | Item #3 | 18 | 25 |Item #3 City| |Item #3 quest As you can see, the ways to obtain the items correspond with the cities, monsters, or quests directly across from them or below them without running into the next item's list. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ B. One Use Items (1UIM) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ These are standard items like potions, mp recovery, or forging items. They only come in one rarity: black. As the title implies, once used they disappear. Most can be found across the world, though some like the medium or large potion can only be found in shops or monsters later in the game. The reason is simple: Litto does not need a potion that recovers so much of his hp or mp at a time so early on in the game. The below chart contains the name of the items, their price in shops, and their uses. All monsters can drop any one use item except Crystals. Monsters that give you status ailiments are more likely to drop the status healing item with with ailiment. Shop Items: Name |Price|Use ---------------------|-----|---- Small HP Potion | 100|Restores 100 HP Medium HP Potion | 300|Restores 150 HP Large HP Potion | 500|Restores 200 HP Small MP Potion | 150|Restores 50 MP Medium MP Potion | 100|Restores 100 MP Large MP Potion | 750|Restores 150 MP Small Mixed Potion | 250|Restores 80 HP & 40 MP Medium Mixed Potion | 750|Restores 120 HP & 80 MP Large Mixed Potion | 1250|Restores 160 HP & 120 MP Small HP Potion #2 | 300|Restores 100 HP Medium HP Potion #2 | 900|Restores 150 HP Large HP Potion #2 | 1500|Restores 200 HP Small MP Potion #2 | 450|Restores 50 MP Medium MP Potion #2 | 1350|Restores 100 MP Large MP Potion #2 | 2250|Restores 150 MP Teleport Stone | 300|Warps you to the closest town Antidote | 200|Cures Poison Energy Drink | 200|Cures Slow Mind Tonic | 200|Cures Forgetful Holy Water | 200|Cures Cursed Restore Seed | 1000|Cures all Abnormalities Extreme Maul |20000|Used for creating sockets in Forge Weapon Refining Stone|30000|Used for weapon refining in the Forge Armor Refining Stone |20000|Used for armor refining in the Forge Forge Items: Name |Price|Use ---------------------|-----|---- Titan | -- |Used to compound Sorcerer's Stone Soul Stone | -- |Used to compound Sorcerer's Stone Sorcerer's Stone | -- |Used to compound Crystals Alchemy Powder-D | -- |Used to compound Dexterity Crystal Alchemy Powder-I | -- |Used to compound Psyche Crystal Alchemy Powder-S | -- |Used to compound Strength Crystal Alchemy Powder-V | -- |Used to compound Vital Crystal Alchemy Powder-W | -- |Used to compound Wisdom Crystal Dexterity Crystal | -- |Instal in sockets to increase DEX Psyche Crystal | -- |Instal in sockets to increase INT Strength Crystal | -- |Instal in sockets to increase STR Vital Crystal | -- |Instal in sockets to increase VIT Wisdom Crystal | -- |Instal in sockets to increase WIS Extreme Maul |20000|Used for creating sockets in Forge Weapon Refining Stone|30000|Used for weapon refining in the Forge Armor Refining Stone |20000|Used for armor refining in the Forge ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ C. Armor (ARMR) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Armor comes in seven types: helmets, body armor, gloves, boots, shields, necklaces, and rings. One of each can be equiped at a time. Litto's level must be at or above the equip level to be able to equip each item. All armor and weapons have four rarities that decide how powerful each weapon is. The defensive range category shows the lowest and highest defenses I have found on each armor. Unfortunately, this list is not complete so the number on the right hand side of the dash is not always the highest possible defensive (or offensive for weapons) rating available. What can I say? Getting all the rarities for every weapon is difficult, especially since Litto can only carry so much at a time. Always leave space in your equipment for at least one weapon before going out into the field. Anyway, the lower number in the defensive/offensive range will always be the lowest possible number since that is what the stores sell. For information on items marked with an asterisk (*), see the Special Armor Sets section. ****************** a. Helmets (HLMS) ****************** Name |Def. Quest Items (QUST) ======================== I am not going to list every single quest in the game nor how to complete them since this isn't a quest FAQ. Instead, I will just list the quests that yeild items, the town they can be found in, the item, its rarity, and any additional attributes it has. Note: not all quests are available at all times. Some are dependent on certain events taking place first. Others only reveal themselves during the game's night time hours. Quest |Town| Item |Rarity|Attributes ----------------|----|-----------|------|----------- Ronala's Info(3)| |Gauss Rifle|Yellow|ATK = 203, ATR +14, CRT +5 I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but since I started this list near the end of the game I do not know many of the quests and items they yield. I'll try to fill in the list if I ever replay the game. If any of you readers wish to help, please send in any quests not on the list with the rest of the info above. You can find my contact info in the Version & Contact Section. _______________________________________________________________________________ ==================== V. The Forge (FRGE) ==================== The forge allows you to power up you armor and weapons, but beware. The forger is incompetent and sometimes fails at his task leaving a mutilated weapon, completely unusable and instantly discarded. That's right, you can lose weapons this way, even the rare ones. There are two ways to enhance weapons: Socket creation/slotting and refining. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A. Socketing (SKTG) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The sockets don't destroy the weapon when the process fails, however once a socket creation fails another socket cannot be made. Plus, equipment can only have a maximum of two sockets anyway. Sockets can slot crystals into them to bost Litto's stats. The creation process of the sockets is depicted below: Titan + Soul Stone = Sorcerer's Stone Sorcerer's Stone + Alchemy Powder = Crystal Weapon/Armor + Extreme Maul = Socket Weapon/Armor w/ Socket + Crystal = Upgraded Weapon/Armor The higher the rarity of the Alchemy Powder used to make the crystal, the better the stat boost at the end of the process. Remember, Weapons/Armor must be equiped for Litto to gain the stat boost. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ B. Refining (RFIN) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Refining is a far simpiler process compared to socket creation, but at a price. This is the process that results in the loss of your weapon/armor if things go wrong. When a weapon/armor is refined its Dmg/Def increases. The process is depicted below: Weapon + Weapon Refining Stone = Stronger Weapon Armor + Armor Refining Stone = Stronger Armor Weapons can be refined 9 times and Armor can be refined 5 times. The # of times the equipment has been refined is shown in the item's description in Litto's inventory. _______________________________________________________________________________ ==================================== VI. Version & Contact Section (V&CT) ==================================== E-mail: [email protected] Version 1.00 - I have finished most of the Equipment & Items Guide, but there still much to be done. I still have to figure out which monsters drop which items. I also will have to play through the game again to check the quests that give Litto equipment. If anybody reading this is still playing through the game any information you collect that isn't on here would be appriciated. Please send it to my e-mail address. _______________________________________________________________________________ ===================== VII.
