001-General Information
---------------------------------------------------------
This is a walkthrough for the game called Alternate
Endings. It is an interactive movie for the iPhone and iPod
Touch. There is a HD version of the game available for the
iPad. As the title suggests, there are five possible
endings to this game.

002-Characters
---------------------------------------------------------
Christopher: The murder victim. He directed the movie, and
he is strongly opposed to having an alternate ending on the
DVD version of the film.
Susan: The producer of the film. She is a mean person, and
she dislikes the director because he is standing in the way
of her producing the DVD that she wants.
Max: The writer. He has a short fuse, and he has a grudge
against the director, because the director changed the
ending to the film.
Brian: An editor, who spends most of the game in the video
editing room. His motive is jealousy; he graduated in the
same class as the victim, but the victim was much more
successful in his career.
Bob: One of the editors, who is dressed like a hippie. He
was secretly dating the victim's girlfriend.
Toby: The victim's girlfriend. She was cheating on the
victim with Bob.
Russell: The main character of the game. Russell is a
security guard, who hopes to become a police officer.
Hank: Russell's partner. He prefers drinking, over doing
his job. He has little faith in Russell's ability.
Police Sergeant: The police sergeant usually appears at the
end of the game, when he arrests the culprit.
003-Walkthrough
---------------------------------------------------------
The game starts on a sound stage, with most of the major
characters watching the movie. Christopher, the director,
is dead set against having special features on the DVD
version of the movie. He argues with the other major
players of the movie crew, and afterwards, he is strangled
to death with film.
The first person to notice the murder is Russell Bingham,
the security guard. Russell is excited to have the
opportunity to solve a murder and prove himself useful,
even though his partner and the police sergeant don't think
he can do anything worthwhile.
All the suspects are here in this room, except for the
director's girlfriend, and Brian the video editor. Russell
has two things he can do here. He can interrogate the
suspects or search for Brian.
This game has multiple endings, and multiple pathways.
Every now and then, you make a decision that controls the
action, like you do just now. Here is a flowchart of the
various decisions you can make, and the endings they lead
to.

Interrogate the Suspects
------------------------
Russell attempts to interrogate the suspects, while Susan
tries to leave. Max explains why he thinks Brian is the
killer, and Bob agrees. Susan thinks they're both wrong.
The victim's cell phone rings, and it is his girlfriend
Toby calling. Russell answers the phone, and when she hears
that her boyfriend is dead, she decides to return to the
area where the crime was.
You then get the option of taking Susan to a phone, or to
head out as a group.
Take Susan to Phone
-------------------
Susan is rude to Russell as they travel to her office. She
talks about her plans for the DVD. When she reaches the
office, it turns out that no one has called yet.
Hank calls Russell's walkie talkie. He says everyone has
left, then he makes a pained sound, as if he has been
attacked. Susan, meanwhile, says she has some evidence to
prove that Bob is the killer.
You get to choose if you want to check on Hank, or if you
want to go with Susan.
Check on Hank
-------------
This option is the same as the "Stay with Hank" option.
Hank is dead. Russell follows the blood trail to the murder
weapon: a pen.
Russell overhears a girl screaming, which leads him to the
editing room. Everyone is watching the original ending to
the movie. They discuss the fact that Max was furious when
the victim changed the ending.
This cements Max's motive, and Max shows up with a gun. He
threatens everyone, but Bob and Toby escape. Brian and
Susan are held at gunpoint, and for a while, it looks like
Russell can escape, too.
Should Russell deal with Max or run for it?
Deal with Max (Ending 1)
------------------------
Russell very smoothly manages to trick Max, by pretending
there is a security camera in this room. He manages to use
his taser to disarm Max.
As a result of Russell's heroic actions, the sergeant
invites him to become a member of the LAPD. Russell is
happy for a while, until he learns that the job involves
being a security guard. In other words, it's the exact same
thing as his old job.
Run for It (Ending 2)
---------------------
Russell runs out of the area, then returns to the stage,
where Bob and Toby are getting flirt with each other. The
other characters appear on the scene.
Max has a gun in his hand, and he kills Bob and Toby very
quickly. Russell attacks Bob. Susan, who was working
together with Max all along, attacks Russell.
Brian gets shot as he tries to escape, and Susan and Max
frame Russell for all the murders. He ends up being
arrested.
Go with Susan
-------------
Susan takes Russell to the editing room, where Brian is
working. She shows Russell a tape, which proves that Toby
was cheating on the victim with Bob. Susan thinks this is a
good motive for Bob, but Russell isn't sure.
Russell finds the tape of the alternate ending, which was
written by Max. The victim rewrote the scene, which
infuriated Max. That cements Max's motive, and sure enough,
Max shows up with a gun shortly afterwards.
Russell can either try to outsmart Max or he can try to
take the gun.
Try to Outsmart Him (Ending 1)
------------------------------
Russell very smoothly manages to trick Max, by pretending
there is a security camera in this room. He manages to use
his taser to disarm Max.
As a result of Russell's heroic actions, the sergeant
invites him to become a member of the LAPD. Russell is
happy for a while, until he learns that the job involves
being a security guard. In other words, it's the exact same
thing as his old job.
Go for the Gun (Ending 3)
-------------------------
Russell manages to disarm Max with the taser. Russell
foolishly throws the gun away, so Max can't use it if he
wakes up.
After this, the murder victim appears. He is not dead,
after all. He successfully identifies Brian as the man who
tried to kill him. Russell uses his taser on Brian.
Susan is revealed to be Brian's mother. She convinced her
son to try to commit murder tonight. Susan prepares to
attack Russell, but before she can do any damage, Max stabs
her.
Afterwards, the culprits are arrested. Hank compliments
Russell on a job well done. Russell erroneously thinks he
is going to be given a job as a member of the LAPD, and
afterwards, he celebrates his success by eating donuts.
Head out as a Group
-------------------
This option is the same as the "Return to Group" option.
Toby shows up, so now everyone's here, except Brian. They
decide to head out as a group to find Brian, when Hank is
stabbed. Everyone returns to the soundstage.
Russell realizes that Susan did not return to the
soundstage along with the others. The other suspects
quickly leave.
Russell can either stay with Hank, who was injured, or he
can chase down the suspects.
Stay with Hank
--------------
This option is the same as the "Check on Hank" option.
He ends up being
arrested.
Chase Down the Suspects
-----------------------
This option is the same as the "Follow the Suspect" option.
Russell chases one suspect, through dark hallways. The
suspect gets away, but Russell finds a bloody pen. The pen
belongs to Max, and it was mostly likely used to stab Hank.
Russell hears from Max on his walkie talkie. He goes to the
security station, where Max is reviewing video footage. The
footage shows that the murderer's hands look like Bob's.
Russell handcuffs Max to the chair, just in case, then he
goes to the sound stage. Here, Toby and Bob are conspiring
together. Maybe they ARE the killers...
Russell can either "Talk 'Em Down" or "Take 'Em Out".
Talk 'Em Down (Ending 4)
------------------------
Russell comes in, and he talks to Bob and Toby. He knows
that they killed Hank and Christopher, while trying to
frame Max. Russell says he won't inform the police, as long
as he gets some money as a bribe.
When Russell gets close enough, he uses his taser on Bob.
He accidentally knocks out Toby afterwards. Hey, Russell
caught the murderers, single-handedly! Good job, Russell!
Bob and Toby are arrested, and Russell is rewarded with a
job as a police officer. He also meets a nice girl. Before
you are given the option to chase after the girl or go
home, Russell decides to go after the girl.
Take 'Em Out (Ending 2)
-----------------------
Russell runs out of the area, then returns to the stage,
where Bob and Toby are getting flirt with each other. The
other characters appear on the scene.
Max has a gun in his hand, and he kills Bob and Toby very
quickly. Russell attacks Bob. Susan, who was working
together with Max all along, attacks Russell.
Brian gets shot as he tries to escape, and Susan and Max
frame Russell for all the murders. He ends up being
arrested.
Search for Brian
----------------
Russell decides to look for Brian, and he leaves Hank in
charge of the scene. Max claims to be suffering from
medical problems, so Russell takes him to the bathroom.
Max thinks Susan is the killer. Max and Russell open the
final bathroom stall, where they find Toby, the victim's
girlfriend. As the three of them head to the soundstage,
they hear a sound which could be a gunshot.
Russell can either return to the group or investigate the
sound.
Return to Group
---------------
Max, Russell and Toby return to the soundstage, so now
everyone's here, except Brian. They decide to head out as a
group to find Brian, when Hank is stabbed. Everyone returns
to the soundstage.
Russell realizes that Susan did not return to the
soundstage along with the others. The other suspects
quickly leave.
Russell can either stay with Hank, who was injured, or he
can chase down the suspects.
Investigate the Sound
---------------------
Russell and Toby follow after the sound. They find Bob, who
has some chocolates for Toby. The two of them are lovers,
and Russell immediately confronts Bob, as secretly dating
the victim's girlfriend is a good motive for murder.
Bob disagrees, and he explains why he thinks Max is real
killer. The three return to the sound stage, where Hank has
been injured. There is blue ink near the wound. Since Max
is the only one with a pen, this seems to indicate that Max
has killed Hank.
A shadowy figure runs away, and Russell gives chase. He
hears a scream coming from a nearby room.
Russell can either follow the suspect or investigate the
room.
Follow the Suspect
------------------
This option is the same as the "Chase Down the Suspects"
option.
He ends up being
arrested.
Investigate the Room
--------------------
Russell goes into the room, which is revealed to be the
video editing room. Brian is here. Brian is a complete
innocent, who knew nothing about the murder.
Brian shows a deleted scene to Russell. The scene shows
Toby, being a good actress. Russell figures that this
proves Toby (along with Bob) is the murder. He tells Brian
to hide, and then Russell returns to the soundstage where
Bob and Toby are. He can either reason with them, or
surprise and attack.
Reason with Them (Ending 4)
---------------------------
Russell comes in, and he talks to Bob and Toby. He knows
that they killed Hank and Christopher, while trying to
Surprise and Attack (Ending 5)
-----------------------------
Russell takes Bob by surprise when attacking him. The gun
slides away, and Russell tases Bob.
In a twist, it is revealed the Hank is not dead. He faked
his own death, to throw suspicion off of himself because he
is the real killer. His motive? He was once a small-time
director, and he felt like his opportunity to make a
comeback was ruined by the victim.
Hank has the gun that Russell knocked away from Bob. Bob
attacks Hank, but Hank shoots him. Hank then shoots
Russell, fatally wounding him. Russell gets framed for the
numerous murders.
