Talking to everyone that you meet in the towns will enable you to learn more about the world that you are in.
Unlimited Chests
Keep an eye out for Unlimited Chests in the Towns as these will continuously offer up new items for your Silver and Gold Keys giving you the opportunity to try out new items with your character.
Walls
Keep an eye out for weakened walls as they sometimes allow you to pass through them and access items on the other side.
Special Abilities
Make a point of saving up your special abilities and using them only when you really need to as they can take several seconds to refil.
New Items
It is always best to test out new items against smaller enemies first to see how they fare.
Back-Stab
Enemies are a lot more vulnerable when attacked from the rear so always look for an opportunity to 'back-stab'.
