If your strategy is based on staying in a group and sneaking around a level you need to take the time to double check that where you plan on moving to is not going to alert any walkers of your presence.

When you are moving your survivors on the game board you need to pay attention to where the walkers are. A little indicater will appear on screen when you are in close proximity to one. When this happens the walker has become aware of your presence and is moving in to attack you.

Make sure you keep track of what is happening at your base between missions. Check the progress of your upgrading and eliminate any walkers that have ventured up to the walls of your camp. To take these walkers down just tap them when they are highlighed with the green crosshair. Although you will only get a small amount of loot for each of these walker kills it will add up over time.

Remember that when you fire your weapon you will attract nearby zombies be unalble to move for the rest of the turn.

Take advantage of survivors that weild rifles that have long-distance firing potential by lining up shots on the board to obtain multiple kills at once. This can be done through rows, colums, and diagonally.

Unless you are prepared to use real money to speed things up you are going to spend a lot of time waiting around for your team of scavengers to heal after a brutal level or for upgrading to complete. What you can do while this is happening is visit the cinema and watch an advert to earn items and resources.
