A good tactic is to always try to pair up a Glue Gunner and a shooter that has decent range because if you stay off the pathways all but one minon-type can be avoided.

The only thing you really need to concentrate on doing first is taking down and replacing the pranking machines.

Your pranking machines are shown at the top of the screen as gold dots and your rival machines as green dots. If you tap the dots the camera will quickly move to a machine's location enabling you to perform fast repairs.

More often than not when you defeat a pranking machine the character who lands the final blow will be leveled up so be smart when deciding who lands it.

At the beginning of every stage make sure your duo are leveled up from zero with special attacks available at levels 3 and 5.
