A good strategy is to use the Wild Cards for bonus rows so they allow you to play the bonus rows and not your opponent. Try to claim as many of the bonus rows as possible.

You will need to complete certain requirements to earn stars so you can unlock more stages. Requirements to earn stars include executing magic skills, stealing cards, and burning monsters. Keep in mind that to earn ALL the stars in a stage you may need to switch between weapons.

Make sure you take advantage of the different weapons you wield as they each have different attack properties that give varying damage towards different hands.

There are three categories of upgrades, these are Weapons, Shields and Magic. Wepaon upgrades will enable you to do more damage than your default sword, Shield upgrades provide additional protection against enemy hits and Magic upgrades allow you to get additional power-ups and wild cards that can be converted into Jokers, which match anything you place on the board.

Make sure you keep an eye on the charge meter (corner of the screen) as this will decrease with each new battle. When it has run out you will either have to wait for it to refil or pay for the optional Infinite Battle Energy power-up.

The first health chip is free and refills your health completely, to acquire more health chips thereafter will cost you gems. Health chips are expensive so don't waste them, the best time to use them is before facing the next monster if your health is low.

There are multiple matches to play in a level and healing gets progressively more expensive after the first health chip so you need to try and take as little damage as possible as you progress.
