Try to target enemies on each stage as soon as they appear and before they start attacking you or the ship you are trying to protect.

The more weapons power you have the bigger your advantage will be in bringing down enemies with laser blasts and missiles. Don't neglect handling as this makes it easier to get around with your ship overall.

To survive long in a firefight strongly depends on how good your ship's shielding and hull are.

You can call upon wingmen to either send after particular enemies on the stage or to give you cover when you are attacking enemies.

Except for the first mission you will need to reach certain levels with ships before you can access the other four missions.

Although there are five missions you will find included with the game only two missions ('Screaming Eagles' and 'Resource Hog'), to access the other three ('Rogue Squadron', 'Operation Twin Lance' and 'Operation Lifeblood') you will need to do a quick download which is free.

In total there are five missions which each has their own objective that must be achieved to successfully complete it. The general gameplay of each mission is about the same.
