Whenever you complete a story chapter with 3 stars for every mission you will earn crystals. Don't pass up the chance to get free crystals, go back and repeat any missions that you did not get 3 stars in.

Use the first few days where you have immunity against other players attacks wisely. Engage with the solo story mode and learn how to build up an effective offense and defense. Don't attack other players during this period of time as it will remove your immunity.
