Make sure you remember to rotate it as well as spin it around as there will be times where it will not be easy to spot the image in the shadow if it is upside down.
A good indication to how close the object is to being in the correct positon is to see how many lights are illuminated, the more lights the closer you are.
It is important that you keep an eye on the shadow at ALL times and don't try and decipher the puzzle by looking at the object.
