It is important that you repair your sand-cruiser when it needs fixing and don't abuse it as you neet it in tip-top condition to keep you safe and successful.
Always make sure that your weapon loadout is balanced so that you are capable of dealing with any unexpected situations.
You must refill your shield, flares etc. After they are out of energy. This is done by activating them and then after getting enough energy selecting the system to refill it.
Block damage coming your way from any heat producing weapons by using the flares. Don't waste them though as you only have a limited number.
This projectile weapon is ideal for piercing shields but suffers the disadvantage of not allowing you to choose what it targets. You will be able to unlock the Grapeshot early in the game.
Try to complete as many missions as you can so you earn currency that can then be used to buy upgrades to become stronger. Apart from story based missions there are daily missions and if you go to the city’s Tavern you will be able to get even more.
After completing chapter 2 you will be given the opportunity to buy a new sand-cruiser to replace the Raven. The second sand-cruiser you can buy is the Gecko which has a booster move that heals all your systems gradually for a short time. During chapter 3 you will be able to buy two more sand-cruisers, these are the Alytes and Sturgeon. The Alytes can turn drones into projectile weapons, while the Sturgeon transfers health into energy which gives you more room to attack.
This weapon is capable of dealing heavy damage but for it to be effective you need to take out the enemy's shields first.
These projectiles work similar to the Grapeshot but they can be taken out by flares so you need to deal with them with something else first before using the rockets.
This is the red rage bar that is next to your weapon selection, when activated this specil attack will do increased damage and will always critically hit. The red rage bar will begin to fill again after it is has been depleted. Make sure you use it whenever you can as it makes a huge difference in battle.
Although the shields work passively and will block damage from most weapons they still have to be upgraded frequently to maintain their effectiveness.
Once you have got to grips with the game you can give yourself more control of what you wnat to do by switching auto-fire off.
Take the time to learn each weapon as they all have different advantages and disadvantages and knowing what weapon to use in a certain situation can make all the difference.
Although this weapon is accurate when targeting a particular area it is not very good at penetrating shields, if you can dispose of the shields first the laser with it's pinpoint accuracy can be very effective against the enemy.
This weapon deals light damage but is capable of getting through your enemy's shields making it ideal for taking out their weaponry.
