Can't rock to sleep
My sim refuses to rock my infant to sleep

That happened to me and I could NOT figure it out. Then I repositioned the crib in the room and I was then able to rock my baby, aaah. I know there are other reasons so this may not be yours.

is there suppose to be a certain type of crib. I have a wood one

No your crib should be fine just position your crib differently

This helped me tremendously. I was stuck forever and so upset. You can't rock the baby if the crib is against a wall. Duh? I guess it's trying to be realistic. Like really. OMG. Now I'm really loving the game. Lol. Hope this helps someone else. It helped me.
