How do I read a stack of magezines in Sims
Every time I click on the magezines the options show up, I pick the one with the baby cradle but it just shows footprints above there head.

When the footsteps Icon appears after you attempt to initiate a task or action what that means is that something is blocking access to the object you wanted your Sim to interact with.
Now that can be a temporary situation - like another Sim is standing too close, or they are on the stairs that your Sim needs to use to reach the object.
Or it can be permanent - an object is blocking access - and thus require you to relocate the object in question.
