From the other sim's house, click on the symbol of two people with an arrow above it (bottom left corner of the screen). This will bring up the Sim Tracker which shows all your Sims. Scroll through it to find the sim you want to send home. Below their picture you should see an icon with a house and an arrow, click this to send them home. If this is greyed out then they are already home.

You can also do this from your sim's home. Go to their house, follow the same steps for the Sim Tracker above, and if your sim is not home you will see there is a whistle icon instead of the house icon. Click that to bring them home.

this wasn't helpful :/ I'm using my phone and I don't see no symbol of 2 people and an arrow above it and I wanna send a sim home because it's in my tasks and is being timed

Click the folder button on the left side of the middle screen. Click the sim and it gives you the option to send them home.

For people using phones, there's a suit case button in the middle of the left part of the screen, press that and the same button the other person said and your sim will go home.
