create weird ornament
I have been in a neighbors wood working area for 3 days niow trying to do this ornament, I am on level 5/6 using the same sim and getting no where. I tried the 4 min time the 9 hour time the hour time, what is going on

This may not be what you want to hear, but the answer is for you to just keep doing the action until you draw the craft item that is required.
Your best bet is to use the briefest time action for the Hobby as you want to do it as often as possible to increase the odds of getting the recipe that you need.
It may suck but the answer to your question is just keep doing it.
