Yes, you can choose the baby's gender when you personalize the baby Sim.
Do remember to give the baby an appropriate name suiting the baby's gender. You don't want to have a baby boy stuck with a girl's name and vice versa because once you confirm the creation, no Changes to the name or gender can be made.

Well I hope your right because I dressed the baby room for a girl in sims FreePlay and it would be embarrassing to have a boy lol

It comes up with a suggested gender then you can change it.

Can you see if a baby is boy or girl once you have created it, because I can't remember what sex it is and I have called it Violet! :-/

When the green diamond thing is over the head of the baby’s parents, and you click on the baby, it will say he name of the baby along with daughter or son, so u can know by that.

You can chose the gender when the baby is
Personalized but be careful when you chose because you can't change unless the extreme makeover but you
