My todler doesn't do anything. When I want her to die something it shows these feet in a talking bulb above her.

That means she can't get to it, check to see if there is anything around it.

The toddler cannot do that action so to make it do it you bake a birthday cake on the stove then click toddler have birthday

The feet mean that they r unable to get to that item or sometimes if there's someone else in the room you have to take that person out.
