No, none of your Pets ever die. Also, you don't even need to take care of pets, they don't seem to have any needs although you can buy food and Toys and get them to use them if you like.

No you don't have to do anything you can play frisbee your dog can have a chew toy your cat can have a scratching post and so forth. Hope you like my answer everyone.

No your dog or cat can not die if the happiness gets low they will just be slow at finding stuff

Guest answered:

No, Pets cannot die. But, if their happiness gets low, you can tell without clicking on them because their ears will lower flat against their head in both cats and dogs. Interact with them to get their happiness back up.
