Make sure your cat items are either on the first floor or outside. It does not matter if it is touching a wall. This works with cats not kittens.

I too am having the same problem, but if I had to assume why it's because a cats Personality does what it wants when it wants. Therefore the cat doesn't always come when called.

It's because you need to make sure that the post is facing forward, i had the same problem and you have to make sure that the post is facing forward. Also it can't be upstairs. ;)

OK so after moving the scratch post to my Sim's bedroom my cat accepted being called over. Give that a try. I hope it works for you.

Guest answered:

I put the scratch post in my Sims bed room right in the center so that no wall or objets were blocking any sides of it. Then when thes sim whos room it is called it over it came first try!

Lucky that didn't happen with my cat bed or bowl even when they were facing the right way and made for a cat

ya putting the bowl or scratching post works now!!
Guest answered:

Turn the object till the arrow faces front, it's because the wall or another objest is blocking it. You don't have to put it in the middle, just turn it.

None of this worked for me. Rotated it, moved it, kitten still won't use bed or post.
